HONOLULU — The state Department of Transportation (DOT) advises air travelers and motorists of upcoming parking modifications at the Honolulu International Airport. Beginning on Tuesday, April 16, 2013, the Economy Lot (Lot J, see map below) will be closed to prepare for construction projects in the Elliott Street area. Alternate parking will be available in the Commuter Terminal Lot (Lot B) at the same rate of $12 per 24 hours or fraction thereof. The airport Wiki Wiki Shuttle stops at the Commuter Terminal and provides service to the Overseas and Inter-Island Terminals.
Developments in the Elliott Street area will include new and expanded maintenance hangar and cargo facilities. Construction of these new facilities is scheduled to begin this summer as part of the Governor’s continuing New Day Work Program, which includes projects to modernize the Honolulu International Airport.
