Honolulu International Airport Closures for Pavement RepairsPosted on Apr 2, 2014 in Airports News, Main, News
HONOLULU — The state Department of Transportation advises Honolulu and Ewa residents of an expected increase in aircraft traffic over these areas due to airfield maintenance work at the Honolulu International Airport.
Runway 4R-22L will be closed from 6 p.m. to 9 a.m., Sunday nights through Friday mornings, weekly, through the end of September, for pavement repairs.
Flight patterns will be adjusted during these hours resulting in increased air traffic over the Kapolei and Ewa areas. The Hawaii Department of Transportation appreciates residents’ understanding and patience during these necessary repairs.
