HONOLULU – The state Department of Transportation (DOT) advises Oahu motorists that the nighttime two-lane closures on Vineyard Boulevard in the westbound direction between Palama Street and Halona Street have been extended an extra night for emergency repairs. Closures will continue from Tuesday night, June 24, through Thursday morning, June 26, from 8:30 p.m. to 5 a.m., nightly. The H-1 Freeway westbound on-ramp from Halona Street will also be closed during these hours. One westbound lane on Vineyard Boulevard will remain open in this area, providing access to Halona Street.

Vineyard Boulevard motorists wishing to access the H-1 Freeway westbound are advised to use North School Street as an alternate route to the next available H-1 on-ramp from Kalihi Street (Likelike Highway).

All road work is weather dependent. The DOT urges drivers to plan ahead and take alternate routes.
