International Parking Structure Level Closures At Honolulu International Airport Begin Saturday

HONOLULU – The Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) Airports Division advises travelers of modified and limited parking in the International Parking Structure (Lot A) at the Honolulu International Airport beginning on Saturday, Jan. 31, through Friday, Feb. 6.  Levels 1, 2 and 3 will be closed during this time for the installation of energy efficient lights as part of the airports energy efficiency program.  Parking Levels 4 through 8 will remain open.  Airport permittee, handicap stalls and e-vehicle charging stations will remain open during the closures.

On Saturday, Feb. 7, crews will then close individual levels of the Inter-Island Parking Structure (Lot M), starting from Level 7 (top floor) and work downwards to Level 4.

Based on current and historical parking data, both structures are expected to have enough parking stalls to meet demand during this travel period.  Barring any delays, the lighting improvements are expected to be completed on Friday, Mar. 13, prior to the Spring Break holiday week in mid-March.

As construction continues in the Overseas Parking Structure (Lot D) for the future Consolidated Rental Car Facility, travelers are still advised to use either the International or Inter-Island Parking Structures.  As these lots are farther from the main terminal, travelers are advised to allow for additional walking time to the ticketing lobbies.  Please click here for detailed parking lot maps.

HDOT thanks travelers in advance for their patience and cooperation as improvements continue at the Honolulu International Airport.
