HONOLULU – The Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) advises Oahu residents that Runway 8R-26L will be closed at the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport from 4 p.m. on Wednesday night, Sept. 20, 2017, through 7 a.m. on Thursday morning, Sept. 21, 2017, for airfield maintenance.
During this time, flight patterns will be directed to Runway 8L-26R which may cause an increase in air traffic over the Honolulu area. Work is weather permitting.
