HONOLULU – The Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) advises Oahu motorists that the Punchbowl Street offramp (Exit 21B) from the eastbound H-1 Freeway will be closed on Wednesday night, Oct. 18, 2017 through Friday morning, Oct. 20, 2017 from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., nightly, for guardrail and shoulder improvement work.

The ramp connecting Honolulu-bound Pali Highway to Punchbowl Street will remain open at all times. HDOT advises motorists to plan ahead and use alternate routes to access the Downtown Honolulu area like the Pali Highway offramp (Exit 21A).

Electronic message boards have been posted to notify motorists of the closure. Special Duty Police Officers will be on site to assist with safety and traffic procedures. Emergency vehicles, first responders, and TheBus have been notified of the roadwork and will be allowed through the work zone. Roadwork is weather permitting.
