Nightly full closures scheduled on the eastbound and westbound Waialae Avenue offramps for guardrail repairs

HONOLULU – The Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) informs Oahu motorists of nightly full closures scheduled on the eastbound Waialae Avenue offramp (Exit 26B) and the westbound Waialae Avenue offramp (Exit 26), for guardrail and shoulder improvements. Roadwork will take place during the weeks of July 12, 2020 and July 19, 2020, on Sunday nights through Friday mornings, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m.

Eastbound motorists wanting to access the Kahala area are advised to take the Koko Head Avenue offramp (Exit 26A) and westbound motorists wanting to access the Kamuki area are advised to take the Kilauea Avenue offramp (Exit 27). Electronic message boards and special duty police officers will be onsite to notify motorists of the closures and detours.

HDOT advises the public to drive safely and allow for extra travel time to get to their destination.
