Hurricane Season
June 1 to November 30
Hurricane season in the Pacific runs from June 1 to November 30 each year. In the event of anticipated heavy weather, including but not limited to tropical storms, hurricanes, and major hurricanes, the harbor master for each district may issue an evacuation order. All masters and vessels are required to comply with harbor master orders and notices.
Depending on anticipated heavy weather, harbor masters, at his or her discretion, may allow vessels to remain in port. To be considered, masters or owners must fill out the Request to Remain in Port or Enter the Commercial Harbor form. Complete and detailed information must be provided in order for a request to be considered. Each request will be considered on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed. Completed forms shall be submitted to:
