Harbors

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Kaunakakai Harbor Maintenance Dredging Project is delayed until Spring 2024.  Work was originally scheduled to start in Fall 2023.  Maintenance dredging is needed to remove the collection of accumulated sediment and to restore the harbor to its authorized depth so that vessels may safely enter, exit, and maneuver within the harbor.  Work is to be performed by a contractor, Camenzind Dutra JV LLC and is anticipated to take approximately one month to complete. 

A community meeting will take place prior to the start of work.
