DOT celebrated the completion of Honolulu Harbor’s Pier 2 Passenger Terminal Enhancement Project. The six-phase project began work in Sept. 2010 to improve traffic circulation, passenger signage and interior aesthetics at the existing Pier 2 cruise ship passenger terminal.
Senator Daniel K. Inouye and the DOT celebrated the completion of the Honolulu Harbor Pier 29 Container Yard Reconstruction Project was dedicated in a ceremony today. $24.5 million (85-percent) of the total project funding made possible with a federal stimulus TIGER (Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery) Discretionary Grant, part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).
