Closure dates are Oct. 21-24, 2019

KAILUA-KONA – The Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) Harbors Division notifies the public the main entrance (gate 2) to Kawaihae Harbor will be closed continuously from Monday, Oct. 21 through Thursday, 24, 2019 for paving work. The main entrance will reopen Friday, Oct. 25, 2019, weather permitting.

All harbor users, tenants and customers will need to utilize gates 1 and 4 for entry and exit during the construction dates. Gate 1 is open from dawn until dusk every day. Gate 4 will open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. during the project.

HDOT Harbors Division appreciates the public’s patience as we work to improve the facility for future use.
