Full closure of Māmalahoa Highway in Nāʻālehu Saturday, July 4

The map illustrates a segment of Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) in Naalehu. The affected highway stretches from mile marker 64.1 on the western end (near Kaalaiki Road, Naalehu Spur Road, and the Hongwanji Buddhist Mission) to mile marker 63.5 on the eastern end (near Ohia Road and Naalehu Elementary School). Other intersecting side streets within this corridor include Kukui Road, Puaala Place, and Niu Street.

NĀʻĀLEHU, Hawaiʻi – The Hawaiʻi Department of Transportation (HDOT) notifies highway users of the full closure of Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) in Nāʻālehu between Niu Street and Kaʻalaiki Road on Saturday, July 4, from 11:55 a.m. to 12:55 p.m., for the Nāʻālehu Independence Day Parade.

 

Electronic message signs will be up three days prior to the event, including the day of the parade. HPD will be on scene to help with traffic control. Please use alternate routes and plan ahead.
