HONOLULU — The state Department of Transportation advises Honolulu residents of an expected increase in aircraft traffic over the area due to airfield maintenance work scheduled at the Honolulu International Airport. Runway 8R/26L (a.k.a. the Reef Runway) will be closed for airfield maintenance work at 5 p.m. on Tuesday evening, May 7, through 3 a.m. on Wednesday morning, May 8.
