Honolulu International Airport Aolele Street Cell Phone Waiting Lot Will Be Relocated June 12
Posted on Jun 9, 2014 in Airports News, Main, NewsHONOLULU – The state Department of Transportation advises Honolulu International Airport users that the Aolele Street cell phone waiting lot, currently located between the Delta Airlines and United Airlines cargo facilities (see map below), will be moved up the street ¼-mile in the Diamond Head (east) direction to accommodate construction of a new airport access gate. The new lot will be open for use on Thursday, June 12.
The cell phone waiting areas are a convenient option for drivers picking up arriving passengers, eliminating the need for motorists to drive in loops around the airport waiting for arriving passengers to exit baggage claim areas. It also reduces traffic congestion fronting the baggage claim area.
Maps of the cell phone waiting areas are available on the Honolulu International Airport’s website at https://hawaii.gov/hnl/airport-parking/cell-phone-waiting-lots
