Honolulu International Airport Nighttime Access Restrictions Begin Friday Night
Posted on Mar 13, 2015 in Airports News, NewsHONOLULU – The Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) Airports Division will be restricting access to various areas fronting the Honolulu International Airport Overseas Terminal during nighttime hours beginning on Friday night, Mar. 13, between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5 a.m., nightly. The restricted areas are necessary for public safety and the result of safety concerns expressed by airport employees, stakeholders and travelers. Access will be restricted to authorized personnel only.
The areas closed will be:
- Level 2 (Ticketing Lobbies)
Includes the International Arrivals Tour Group Area and Ticketing Lobbies 4 through 8. Lobbies serving nighttime flights will be opened for passengers until flight operations are complete.
- Level 1 (Baggage Claim)
Includes the International Arrivals Tour Group area, Baggage Claims E through H, and the Diamond Head Tour Group Area. Baggage claims serving nighttime flights will be opened for passengers until flight operations are complete.
