Honolulu International Airport Taxiway Z Closed For Resurfacing Work Mar. 24 To Apr. 30
Posted on Mar 24, 2015 in Airports News, Main, NewsHONOLULU – The state Department of Transportation advises Ewa residents of an expected increase in aircraft traffic over the area due to airfield maintenance work at the Honolulu International Airport.
Taxiway Z will be closed for pavement resurfacing work beginning Tuesday, Mar. 24, through Thursday, Apr. 30, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Construction will be replacing the existing asphalt pavement with a concrete finish to provide a new surface that will be longer lasting. During this time, flight patterns will be modified to use runway 8L, resulting in increased air traffic over the Ewa area. All work is weather permitting.
The HDOT appreciates residents’ patience and understanding as we work to improve the Honolulu International Airport.
