This phase completes just under one mile of highway linking Keawe Street to Lahainaluna Road which gives the community a much needed alternate access route. It includes the exceptional design of the Kahoma Stream Bridge which incorporates an inverted arch to preserve the community’s view planes.
The overall project cost is $77 million with 80% federal and 20% state funds. Highway improvements are expected to alleviate traffic and improve circulation in Lahaina and Lahainaluna areas.
