HONOLULU — The state Department of Transportation advises Oahu motorists of a single lane closure on Fort Weaver Road in the southbound direction between the H-1 Freeway and Laulaunui Street, on Mondays through Fridays, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., daily, beginning Monday, Nov. 4 and continuing for approximately two weeks.

Crews will be restriping to add an additional Ewa-bound lane to help address traffic congestion over this 1/2-mile section. New destination and traffic signs will also be installed.

During construction, all on-and-off-ramps will remain open and southbound traffic on Fort Weaver Road will be funneled into a single lane.  Motorists are advised to be aware of changes to traffic patterns, use alternate routes when possible, expect delays, and slow down in the construction zone for driver and worker safety.
