HONOLULU — The state Department of Transportation advises Oahu motorists of two right lane closures on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between the Pearl City/Waimalu Off-Ramp (Exit 10) and the Waipahu Off-Ramp (Exit 8B), on Sunday, June 22, from 4:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., for highway lighting relocations.

The Pearl City Viaduct Deck Repair project includes widening of the freeway from the westbound Pearl City On-Ramp to the Waipahu Off-Ramp to create an auxiliary lane and widening of the H1 Freeway west. These improvements are designed to improve traffic flow through the area.

Motorists are advised to allow for extra travel time and to drive slowly through the work zone area.
