Lihue Airport Debuts New Bar In Main Lobby
Posted on Jul 9, 2014 in Airports News, NewsLIHUE – Travelers passing through Lihue Airport will now have the opportunity to enjoy tastings from the new Mea Inu Bar & Grill Beer Kiosk in the airport’s main lobby. The bar, located in a secure area that requires a boarding pass to access, features sleek, high top tables, bar seating and a flat screen television. Patrons can choose from beer and wine offerings, as well as grab-and-go food options from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., daily.
“The Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) and HMSHost are very excited to offer this new eatery to our Kauai travelers,” said Ford Fuchigami, HDOT Interim Director. “We’re very pleased to be able to broaden our selection of dining choices at Lihue Airport.”
The Mea Inu Bar & Grill Beer Kiosk is operated by global restaurateur HMSHost and was established to fulfill public demand for such an establishment within Lihue Airport. Other dining options include Starbucks, HMSHost Café and three Na Mea Ai kiosks.
Lihue Airport is the primary airport on the island of Kauai. It operates both overseas and interisland flights and services an average of 8,100 passengers daily.
