Public Informational Meeting Scheduled For Karsten Thot Bridge Repair Project
Posted on Sep 10, 2014 in Highways News, NewsHONOLULU – The Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) will be holding a public informational meeting to discuss plans to repair and repaint the Karsten Thot Bridge, located on Kamehameha Highway (Route 80), north of Wahiawa. Work will involve the repair of the deteriorated steel bridge upper framework and connections, railings, and repainting of the steel bridge. The meeting is scheduled at the following location and time:

A presentation will be made to provide an overview of the construction required, estimated schedules and temporary traffic control measures and will be followed by a question-and-answer session.
HDOT has filed a Noise Variance with the Department of Health to permit construction during overnight hours. Night work will be required to minimize the potential for disruption to daytime traffic.
