Vineyard Boulevard Roadwork Scheduled This Sunday, 10/26
Posted on Oct 24, 2014 in Highways News, NewsHONOLULU – The state Department of Transportation (DOT) advises Oahu motorists of multiple lane closures on Vineyard Boulevard between Punchbowl Street and Maunakea Street in both directions on Sunday, October 26, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., for pavement resurfacing work. Traffic may be contraflowed through this area using the remaining open lanes.
Motorists are advised to expect traffic delays and to use the H-1 Freeway, Beretania Street (westbound) and King Street (eastbound) as alternate routes. Roadwork is weather permitting.
The Vineyard Boulevard Resurfacing Project includes reconstruction of weakened pavement areas, replacement of damaged curbs, gutters and sidewalks, installation of new bus pads and traffic loop detectors, and the replacement of existing traffic signal heads with new, energy-efficient, LED optical units.
Updates regarding the Vineyard Boulevard project will be available on the DOT website at hidot.hawaii.gov. For up to date roadwork notifications, please follow us on Facebook and Twitter.
