H-1 Freeway Lane Closures This Weekend From Pearl City To Waipahu For Pavement Striping
Posted on Apr 16, 2015 in Highways News, Main, NewsHONOLULU – The Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) advises Oahu motorists of multiple lane closures on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between the Kaonohi Street Overpass and the H-1/H-2 Split scheduled for 8 p.m. on Saturday night, Apr. 18, through Sunday morning, Apr. 19, at 9 a.m. for pavement striping and marker installations.
Two right lanes will be closed on Saturday night from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a third right lane will be closed from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. on Sunday morning.
Lane closures will allow for pavement striping and marker installations as part of the H-1 Pearl City Viaduct Deck Widening and Repair project. Weekend lane closures are necessary due to previous weather-related postponed work.
Westbound motorists are advised to plan ahead, adjust their travel times and to expect delays. Motorists can use the GoAkamai website and mobile apps to see current traffic conditions and access images from over 200 traffic cameras on Oahu.
Questions and comments may be directed to the project hotline at 945-1144. Follow HDOT on social media, and visit the Pearl City Viaduct Deck Widening and Repair project website for traffic and roadwork updates. Roadwork is weather permitting.
