Public Informational Meeting For The Halona Street Bridge Replacement Project

HONOLULU – The Hawaii Department of Transportation in partnership with the Federal Highway Administration, Central Federal Lands Highway Division (FHWA-CFLHD) will be holding a public meeting to share information on the Halona Street Bridge Replacement project, located on Halona Street at milepost 20.21 on the adjacent Interstate Route H-1.The bridge crosses over the Kapalama Canal. The purpose of the project is to improve Halona Bridge and its approaches to maintain a canal crossing on Halona Street that remains a safe and functional component of the regional transportation system for highway users. We are currently in the environmental compliance and preliminary engineering phase. The meeting is scheduled at the following location and time:

Information will be shared and input collected on the proposed project design and traffic management during construction. FHWA and HDOT representatives will be available to answer questions on the project.
