Hana Highway closed for slope mobilization work, March 11
Posted on Mar 10, 2016 in Highways News, Main, NewsHANA – The Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) advises motorists that Hana Highway (Route 360) will be closed at Milepost 6.1 near the Nailiilihaele Stream Bridge, on Friday, March 11, 2016 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Crews have removed material from the hillside after a minor landslide occurred yesterday. Crews will assess the area and remove any additional debris during the closure.
Electronic message boards will be posted to inform motorists of the closure. HDOT advises the community to plan ahead and adjust their commutes to avoid this location during the closure. Roadwork is weather permitting.
