Lane closures on westbound H-1 Freeway begin Sunday night, May 8

HONOLULU – The Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) advises the public of lane closures on the westbound H-1 Freeway between the Keehi Interchange and the Aiea/Pearlridge Off-Ramp (Exit 13A) on Sunday night, May 8, 2016 through Friday morning, May 13, 2016 from 9 p.m. to 4:30 a.m., nightly.

On Sunday night, May 8, 2016 two lanes will be closed, including a closure of the Dillingham Boulevard On-Ramp. Westbound motorists are advised to use the Nimitz Highway On-Ramp to access the H-1 Freeway or the Kaua Street On-Ramp to enter the H-201 Moanalua Freeway. Emergency vehicles will be permitted to use the ramp.  Electronic message boards will be placed on Dillingham Boulevard and Middle Street to alert drivers of the work.

On Monday night, May 9, 2016 through Friday morning, May 13, 2016 lane closures on the H-1 Freeway will continue with at least one lane open to motorists at all times. All on-ramps will remain open.

During the closure, crews will be installing new pavements markings as needed. Motorists are advised to read and obey all traffic control signage and drive with caution through the work zone. Roadwork is weather permitting.
