Maui
The Maui District Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) includes all of the storm drains along State-owned roadways within the urban area of Kahului. Clean water in our harbors and oceans is important to us and through the Maui District Storm Water Management Program (SWMP), we strive to work together with residents and businesses to reduce pollutants entering our storm drains and reaching the ocean.
Residents and visitors are the eyes and ears of the program, always on the roadways and able to spot violations, such as people pouring used oil down storm drains, or possible pollutants, excessive amounts of litter, leaves, or other debris on the roadways. If you see anything that might be of concern, please report it by following the instructions below
Reporting Violations
- If you notice a storm water violation, call 808‐873‐3535.
- If you notice anyone actively discharging pollutants into any storm drain, stream, or the ocean, call 911.
