For the week of: Nov. 29 – Dec. 5

PLEASE NOTE: 

The Holiday Lane Closure Restriction runs from Thursday, Nov. 27, through Sunday, Nov. 30. Only closures with demonstrated need (e.g., necessary for safety or to avoid lengthy construction delays) have been approved and are on this list.

— H-1 FREEWAY — 

1) WAIPAHU TO AIEA (NIGHT WORK) 

Two to three right lanes closed on the eastbound H-1 Freeway, in the vicinity of the Naval Access Road underpass to the Waimalu off-ramp (Exit 10), from 7 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. on the evening of Monday, Dec. 1 and Thursday, Dec. 4 for the Pearl City & Waimalu Viaduct Deck Repairs. 

Note: The closure will start with two lanes closed at 7 p.m. and increase to three lanes from 8 p.m. through the duration of the closure. 

 

2) PEARL CITY 

Right shoulder closure on the Waipahu off-ramp (Exit 8B) from the westbound H-1 Freeway, from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 1, through Friday, Dec. 5, for slope improvements. 
 

3) PEARL CITY TO AIEA (NIGHT WORK) 

Two to three lanes closed on the right-hand side of the eastbound H-1 Freeway, in the vicinity of the Hugh Street underpass and the Kaonohi Street overpass, from 7 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. on the evening of Tuesday, Dec. 2 and Wednesday, Dec. 3 for work as part of the Pearl City & Waimalu Viaduct Repairs. 

Note: The closure will start with two lanes closed from 7p.m. and increase to three lanes from 8 p.m. through the duration of the closure.  

 

4) STADIUM TO AIRPORT VIADUCT (NIGHT WORK) 

Two lanes closed on the right-hand side of the westbound H-1 Freeway, in the vicinity of the Kahuapaani Street underpass and the Valkenburgh Street underpass, from 8 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. on the evening of Monday, Dec. 1 and Tuesday, Dec. 2 for installation of temporary striping. 

 

5) AIRPORT VIADUCT (NIGHT WORK) 

Closure of three right lanes of the westbound H-1 Freeway/Airport Viaduct from the Nimitz on-ramp to the Airport off-ramp from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 2 through Thursday, Dec. 4 for the Airport Viaduct Repairs. 

The following ramps will be closed during this work:  

  • Airport off-ramp (Exit 16) from the westbound H-1 Airport Viaduct, closed at 6 p.m. nightly  
  • H-1 Middle Street on-ramp to the westbound H-1 Airport Viaduct  

Kamehameha Highway on-ramp to the westbound H-1 Airport Viaduct  

Motorists will be detoured via Nimitz Highway. 

 

6) AIRPORT VIADUCT TO KAHALA 

Roving right lane closure on the H-1 Freeway possible in either direction, between Puuloa Road and Ainakoa Avenue, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 1, through Friday, Dec. 5, to address pothole, litter, and sign requests.  

 

7) HONOLULU (24-HOUR CLOSURE) 

Right shoulder closure on the H-1 Freeway, in the eastbound direction, in the vicinity of the Ola Lane overpass and Richard Lane, 24-hours a day, 7-days a week as part of the H-1 Freeway Widening. For more information, visit the project website: https://h1awidening.com/. 

 

8) HONOLULU (NIGHT WORK) 

Two right lanes closed on the eastbound H-1 Freeway in the vicinity of the Ola Lane overpass and the Likelike Highway off-ramp (Exit 20A) from 9 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. the following day on Monday, Dec. 1 through Friday, Dec. 5, for work as part of the H-1 Freeway widening. 9) HONOLULU (24-HOUR CLOSURE) 

Right shoulder closure on the H-1 Freeway, in the westbound direction, in the vicinity of the Likelike Highway on-ramp (Exit 20A) and the Gulick Avenue overpass, 24-hours a day, 7-days a week as part of the H-1 Freeway Widening. 10) MANOA (NIGHT WORK) 

Single lane closure on the left-hand side of the westbound H-1 Freeway, in the vicinity of Waialae Avenue and South King Street, from 8:30 p.m. to 4 a.m. on the evening of Wednesday, Dec. 3 for guardrail repairs.  

 

11) KAHALA  

Two left lanes closed on the H-1 Freeway, one in each direction, in the vicinity of 14th Avenue and Ainakoa Avenue, from 8:30 a.m. through 2 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 1 through Friday, Dec. 5 for soil replacement and fiber reinforced polymer installations in planters. 

 

— H-2 FREEWAY — 

1) WAIPAHU (24-HOUR CLOSURE) 

Right shoulder closure on the southbound H-2 Freeway, in the vicinity of the Ka Uka Boulevard on-ramp and the Waipio Self Storage, 24-hours a day, 7-days a week for construction of access road.  

 

— H-201 MOANALUA FREEWAY — 

1) HALAWA TO HONOLULU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK) 

Three right lanes closed on the westbound H-201 Moanalua Freeway in the vicinity of the Halawa Interchange and Richard Lane, nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day on Sunday, Nov. 30, through Friday, Dec. 5, for repaving. Full closures of the Halawa/H-3 Freeway off-ramps (Exit 1D/1E) from the westbound H-201 Moanalua Freeway, from 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 30 through Friday, Dec. 5 for repaving work along the ramps. Full closure on the H-201 Moanalua Freeway off-ramp to the H-1 Freeway, in the eastbound direction, in the vicinity of the Honolulu/ King Steet off-ramp, from 9 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 1 through Friday, Dec. 5 as part of the H-1 Freeway Widening. — H-3 FREEWAY — 

1) KAILUA 

Shoulder closure on the right-hand side of the northbound H-3 Freeway, along the Kaneohe Bay Drive off-ramp (Exit 15), from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 1 through Friday, Dec. 5 for guardrail repairs.  

 

2) KANEOHE (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK) 

Right lane closure on the Kaneohe-bound H-3 Freeway, in the vicinity of the Hospital Rock Tunnels and the Harano Tunnels, from 2 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on the morning of Saturday, Nov. 29 for repairing steel plate welds.   

 

— PALI HIGHWAY/ KALANIANAOLE HIGHWAY/ KAILUA ROAD (ROUTE 61) — 

1) NUUANU TO KAILUA  

Roving closure of two left lanes on Pali Highway (Route 61), one in each direction, in the vicinity of Nuuanu Pali Drive and Castle Medical center, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 1 through Friday, Dec. 5 for grass trimming.  

 

2) KAILUA 

Left lane closure on Kalanianaole Highway/Kailua Road (Route 61), possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Ulumanu Drive and Uluhala Street, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 1 through Wednesday, Dec. 3 for traffic signals project. Potential closures of a single lane in both directions (for a total of two lanes) may be necessary.  

 

3) KAILUA 

Intermittent full closures of Kailua Road (Route 61) in both directions, at the intersection of Uluoa Street, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 2, for installation of traffic mast arm and tightening of bolts. Full closures will be up to five-minutes at a time.

4) KAILUA 

Intermittent full closures of Kailua Road (Route 61) in both directions, at the intersection of Ulumanu Street, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 4, for installation of traffic mast arm and tightening of bolts. Full closures will be up to five-minutes at a time, in one direction at a time.

1) KALIHI  

Right lane closure on Kalihi Street (Route 63) possible in either direction between Eluwene Street and Coburn Street, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 1 through Friday, Dec. 5 for HART civil work approaching the Dillingham Boulevard intersection. One lane to remain open at all times.

2) KALIHI  

Roving right lane closure on Kaneohe-bound Likelike Highway (Route 63) between North School Street and Nalanieha Street from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 1 through Friday, Dec. 5 for grass trimming and litter removal. 

 

3) KALIHI TO KANEOHE  

Roving right lane closure on Likelike Highway (Route 63) possible in either direction, between Nalanieha Street and the Kalihi-end of the Wilson Tunnels, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 1 through Thursday, Dec. 4 for herbicide treating. 

 

4) KANEOHE  

Left lane closure on Kaneohe-bound Likelike Highway (Route 63) just before the entrance to the Wilson Tunnel, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 3 for guardrail repairs.  

 

5) KANEOHE 

Roving right shoulder closure on Likelike Highway (Route 63), possible in either direction, between the Kaneohe-side of the Wilson Tunnels and Kahekili Highway, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 1 through Thursday, Dec. 4 for mechanical mowing work.  

 

— SAND ISLAND ACCESS ROAD (ROUTE 64) — 

1) SAND ISLAND (24-HOUR CLOSURE) 

Right lane closure on eastbound Sand Island Access Road (Route 64), fronting Sand Island Wastewater Treatment Plant entrance, on Saturday, Nov. 29 through Friday, Dec. 5, over a 24-hour period, for construction of new right turn pocket. 

 

— KANEOHE BAY DRIVE (ROUTE 65) — 

1) KANEOHE 

Right shoulder closure on eastbound Kaneohe Bay Drive (Route 65), in the vicinity of Aumoku Street and Nohonani Place, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 1 through Friday, Dec. 5 for erosion control work.   

 

2) KANEOHE 

Right shoulder closure on Honolulu-bound Kaneohe Bay Drive (Route 65) between Namoku Street and Moakaka Place on Monday, Dec. 1 through Friday, Dec. 5 for guardrail repairs. 

 

— KALANIANAOLE HIGHWAY (ROUTE 72) — 

1) MAKAPUU  

Roving right lane closure on Kalanianaole Highway (Route 72) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Sea Life Park’s main entrance and Sandy Beach Park, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 1 for sign maintenance.  

 

2) KOKO HEAD 

Roving right lane closure on Kalanianaole Highway (Route 72) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Sandy Beach Park and Lunalilo Home Road, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 2 through Thursday, Dec. 4 for sign maintenance.  

 

3) KOKO HEAD 

Alternating right lane closure on eastbound Kalanianaole Highway (Route 72), in the vicinity of Nawiliwili Street and Lunalilo Home Road, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 2 for HECO utility work. 

 

4) HAWAII KAI TO KAHALA  

Roving right lane closure on Kalanianaole Highway (Route 72), possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Lunalilo Home Road and Ainakoa Avenue, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 1 through Friday, Dec. 5 for maintenance activities to address complaints.  

 

— JOSEPH P. LEONG/ KAMEHAMEHA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 83) — 

1) HALEIWA 

Roving single lane closure on Jospeh P. Leong/ Kamehameha Highway (Route 83), possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Opaeula Stream Bridge and Kapuhi Street, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 1 through Friday, Dec. 5, for installation of permanent markings and striping where repaving is completed. Alternating single lane closure on Kamehameha Highway (Route 83) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Kahuku District Park and Kahuku High and Intermediate School, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 1 through Friday, Dec. 5 for construction of drainage culvert and headwalls.  

 

4) LAIE  

Lane shift on Kamehameha Highway (Route 83) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Wahinepee Street and Anemoku Street, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 1 through Friday, Dec. 5 for installation of temporary lighting as needed.  

 

5) LAIE 

Right lane closure on Haleiwa-bound Kamehameha Highway (Route 83) in the vicinity of Pakelo Place, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 1 through Friday, Dec. 5 for sewer work.  

 

6) KUALOA TO WAIKANE  

Roving right shoulder closure on Haleiwa-bound Kamehameha Highway (Route 83) in the vicinity of Kualoa Ranch’s main entrance and Waikane Valley Road, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 1 through Friday, Dec. 5 for HECO tree trimming work. 

 

— NIMITZ HIGHWAY/ALA MOANA BOULEVARD (ROUTE 92) — 

1) AIRPORT INDUSTRIAL  

Roving right lane closure on Nimitz Highway (Route 92) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Valkenburgh Street and Puuloa Road, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 3 through Friday, Dec. 5 for pavement marking work.  

 

2) HONOLULU (24/7 CLOSURE) 

Closures on Nimitz Highway (Route 92) between Awa Street and Richards Street on Sunday, Nov. 30, through Friday, Dec. 5, over a 24-hour period, for HART work includes: 

  • Awa Street closed 24/7 from Nimitz Highway, in either direction through November 2025. 
  • Nimitz Highway eastbound and westbound between Awa Street and Richards Street will have a single lane closed from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday, Dec. 1 through Friday, Dec. 5, in addition to the 24-hour lane closures. 
  • Turn restrictions from westbound Nimitz Highway onto Alakea Street, Bishop Street, and Nuuanu Street daily, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. 
  • Up to two lanes closed between Awa Street and Richards Street for striping, Monday, Dec. 1 through Friday, Dec. 5, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Single lane closure and lane shift on Ala Moana Boulevard (Route 92), possible in either direction in the vicinity of Hobron Lane and Pau Street, from 9 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 30 through Thursday, Dec. 4 for installation of new fiber optics cable.  

 

— FARRINGTON HIGHWAY (ROUTE 93) — 

1) MAKAHA TO HONOKAI HALE 

Roving right shoulder closure on Farrington Highway (Route 93) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Makua Valley Road and Laaloa Street, from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 1 through Thursday, Dec. 4 for various maintenance activities to address complaints.  

 

2) WAIANAE  

Right lane closure on eastbound Farrington Highway (Route 93) in the vicinity of Ala Akau Street and the Waianae Boat Harbor, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 1 through Friday, Dec. 5 for installation of new sewer line.  

 

3) NANAKULI TO KO OLINA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK) 

Right lane closure on Farrington Highway (Route 93) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Hakimo Road and Electrics Beach, from 4 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 29 for lighting repairs.  

 

— VINEYARD BOULEVARD (ROUTE 98) — 

1) HONOLULU 

Roving right lane closure on westbound Vineyard Boulevard (Route 98), in the vicinity of Liliha Street and Aala Street, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 5 for bulky item removal.  

 

—KAMEHAMEHA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 99)— 

1) HALEIWA 

Roving right lane closure on Kamehameha Highway (Route 99) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Weed Circle and Nui Avenue, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 1 through Friday, Dec. 5 for grass trimming.  

 

2) PEARL CITY  

Roving right shoulder closure on Kamehameha Highway (Route 99), possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Kaonohi Street and Pali Momi Street, from 7:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 1 through Friday, Dec. 5 for grass trimming and litter removal.  

 

3) PEARL HARBOR  

Single lane closure on Kamehameha Highway (Route 99) possible in either direction between Kohomua Street and Center Drive, on Monday, Dec. 1, through Friday, Dec. 5 for HART civil work. Closure times vary by direction and are scheduled as follows:  

  • Eastbound closures: 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.  
  • Westbound closures: 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

4) KALIHI (24/7 CLOSURE) 

The following closures are 24-hours a day, seven days a week, for The Rail. 

  • H-1 eastbound off-ramp to Dillingham Blvd. reduced to one lane.  
  • Middle Street southbound left turn reduced to single turn lane. 
  • Dillingham Boulevard eastbound between Middle Street and Marukai will have a single lane closed. 
  • Dillingham Boulevard westbound between GasPro and Middle Street will have a single lane closed.

— KUNIA ROAD (ROUTE 750) — 

1) KUNIA  

Alternating single lane closure on Kunia Road (Route 750) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of the Hawaii Country Club and Plantation Road, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 1 through Friday, Dec. 5 for installation of new speed humps, signage and striping.  

 

2) KUNIA TO SCHOFIELD  

Roving right lane closure on Kunia Road (Route 750) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Plantation Road and Lyman Gate, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 1 through Thursday, Dec. 4 for Bomford tree trimming work.  

 

— FORT BARRETTE ROAD (ROUTE 901) — 

1) KAPOLEI  

Closure of one lane at a time on Fort Barrette Road (Route 901) in either direction between Kamaaha Avenue and Farrington Highway, from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 1 through Friday, Dec. 5, for installation of underground utility lines.  

 

— FARRINGTON HIGHWAY (ROUTE 7101) — 

1) KAPOLEI  

Alternating single lane closure on westbound Farrington Highway (Route 7101) between mile post 1.6 and 1.9, in the vicinity of Kualakai Parkway and the University of Hawaii, West Oahu campus entrance, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 1 through Friday, Dec. 5 for HECO utility duct line work. 

 

2) EWA BEACH/WAIPAHU (24-HOUR CLOSURE) 

Detour and contraflow on eastbound Farrington Highway (Route 7101) in the vicinity of Old Fort Weaver Road, on Saturday, Nov. 29, through Friday, Dec. 5, over a 24-hour period, as part of the Farrington Highway Widening project. — JARRETT WHITE ROAD (ROUTE 7310) — 

1) TRIPLER 

Full closure on northbound Jarrett White Road (Route 7310) between Ala Mahamoe Street and Apona Street, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 1 through Friday, Dec. 5 for sewer line repairs. Motorists will be detoured via Ainapua Street.  

 

— WAIALAE AVENUE (ROUTE 7801) — 

1) KAHALA  

Single lane closure on the left-hand side of Waialae Avenue (Route 7801) in the vicinity of 21st Avenue and Kilauea Avenue, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 1 through Friday, Dec. 5 for concrete pours, backfilling footings, and seismic retrofitting work under the freeway.  

 

— AOLELE STREET — 

1) HONOLULU 

Single lane closure and lane shift on westbound Aolele Street, fronting cargo companies, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., on Monday, Dec. 1 through Friday, Dec. 5 for paving work as part of HART civil work.

Alternating single lane closure on Gulick Avenue, possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Pahukui Street and Beckley Street, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 1 through Friday, Dec. 5 as part of the H-1 Freeway Widening. Right lane closure on westbound Kaua Street, in the vicinity of the Ola Lane overpass and the Kikowaena Street/Fort Shafter off-ramp, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 1 and Tuesday, Dec. 2 for pavement marking work. 

 

— RICHARD LANE — 

1) HONOLULU
