Maui Lane Closures

FOR THE WEEK OF  APRIL 27 – MAY 3

 

PLEASE NOTE:

Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting. 

 

— SOUTH HIGH STREET/HONOAPIILANI HIGHWAY (ROUTE 30) —

  

1) WAILUKU                                                                

Right lane closure on South High Street (Route 30), in the southbound direction, between mile marker 0 and 0.8, between Main Street and Kehalani Makai Parkway, on Monday, April 29 to Tuesday, April 30, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for tree crown raising. Traffic will be maintained in both directions with a lane shift.

 

2) MAALAEA/PAPALAUA WAYSIDE PARK

Right side shoulder closure on Honoapiilani Highway (Route 30), in the eastbound direction, between mile marker 7 and 10, in the vicinity of McGregor Point to Papalaua Wayside Park, on Monday, April 29 to Friday, May 3, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., for guardrail installation and shoulder improvements.

 

— PIILANI HIGHWAY (ROUTE 31) —

 

1) KIHEI

Left lane closure on Piilani Highway (Route 31) in the northbound direction, between mile marker 1.8 and 1.9, at the roundabout at Kulanihakoi Street, on Thursday, May 2 and Friday, May 3, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for landscape maintenance on the median.

 

— KAAHUMANU AVENUE (ROUTE 32) —

 

1) WAILUKU  

Right lane closure on Kaahumanu Avenue (Route 32) in the westbound direction, between mile marker 0.3 and 0.7, between Central Avenue and Lunalilo Street, on Tuesday, April 30 and Wednesday, May 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for landscaping.

 

2) WAILUKU  

Left lane closure in either direction on Kaahumanu Avenue (Route 32), between mile marker 0.7 and 0.9, between Lunalilo Street and Maui Lani Parkway, on Tuesday, April 30 and Wednesday, May 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for landscaping.

 

— PUUNENE AVENUE (ROUTE 3500) —

 

1) KAHULUI

Shift side one lane closure on Puunene Avenue (Route 3500) in the northbound direction, between mile marker 0.4 and 1.1, in the vicinity of Wakea Avenue to Kuihelani Highway (Route 380) on Monday, April 29 to Thursday, May 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for geotechnical work. Traffic will be maintained in both directions.

 

— HANA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 360) —

 

1) WAIKAMOI

Intermittent road closure on Hana Highway (Route 360) in both directions, between mile marker 9.6 to 9.8, in the vicinity of Waikamoi Stream from Monday, April 29 to Friday, May 3, from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for emergency rock scaling. There will be short holds of traffic for approximately 20 to 30 minutes.

2) HANA

Right lane closure on Hana Highway (Route 360) in the eastbound direction, between mile marker 13 and 14, in the vicinity of Honomanu Bay, from Wednesday, May 1 to Friday, May 3, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for tree trimming and debris removal. Traffic will be maintained in both directions with a lane shift.

  

— HALEAKALA HIGHWAY/KEKAULIKE AVENUE (ROUTE 377) —

 

1) KULA

Left lane closure on Haleakala Highway (Route 377) in the northbound direction, between mile marker 1.8 and 5.9, from Monday, April 29 to Friday, May 3, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for guardrail maintenance. Traffic will be maintained in both directions with a lane shift.

 

2) KULA (24/7 CLOSURE)

Right lane closure on Kekaulike Avenue (Route 377) in the southbound direction, in the vicinity of Alae Road and Waiakoa Road, 24-hours a day, 7 days a week, until further notice due to eroded embankment.

 

— LAHAINA BYPASS (ROUTE 3000) —

 

1) LAHAINA

Lane shift and shoulder closure on Lahaina Bypass (Route 3000) in both directions, between mile marker 4.962 and 4.972, beginning Monday, April 29 through Friday, May 3, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. for permitted utility installation and associated work for the Kaiāulu o Kūkuʻia master-planned community. Travel lanes will remain open.

2) LAHAINA (NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure on Keawe Street, mauka bound, between Lahaina Bypass (Route 3000) and Kupuohi Street, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. the next day, beginning Monday night, April 29 to Friday morning, May 3, for water and electrical work for the Kaiāulu o Kūkuʻia master-planned community. Traffic in both directions will be maintained through alternating lane control (contraflow) in the remaining lane.
