HONOLULU — The state Department of Transportation advises Oahu motorists that two left lanes will be closed on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between the Pearl City/Waimalu Off-Ramp (Exit 10) and the Waipahu Off-Ramp (Exit 8B) on the following Sundays:  January 13 and February 10.  The two left lanes will be closed from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., for continuing freeway repairs that include concrete demolition and pouring of new concrete.

A third lane will be closed from 6:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.  Two left lanes in the eastbound direction will also be closed from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. from the Kamehameha Highway Overpass to the H-1/H-2 Merge.

This work is part of a major project to rehabilitate severely damaged portions of the H-1 Freeway Pearl City and Waimalu Viaducts.

Motorists are advised to use caution while driving through the work area and to allow for major delays.  Roadwork is weather-permitting.  For more information, visit www.pmcontraflow.com or call the project hotline at (808) 945-1144.
