Kaua‘i Lane Closures
FOR THE WEEK OF JUNE 6 – JUNE 12
PLEASE NOTE:
In observance of Kamehameha Day Thursday, June 11 there will be no contraflow or lane closures, unless otherwise permitted. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. — KAUMUALII HIGHWAY (ROUTE 50) —
1) LIHUE TO KOLOA
Roving single lane closure on Kaumualii Highway (Route 50), possible in either direction, between mile post 0.1 to 5.3 in the vicinity of HoomanaRoad and Kahili Road, on Monday, June 8 to Wednesday, June 10 and Friday, June 12 from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for landscape maintenance.
2) KIPU TO OMAO (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)
Single lane closure on Kaumualii Highway (Route 50), possible in either direction, between mile post 2.9 to 8.5 in the vicinity of Kipu Road and Maha Road, on Sunday, June 7 to Thursday, June 11 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for installing rumble strips on the edges and striping. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.
3) OMAO TO LAWAI (NIGHT WORK)
Single lane closure on Kaumualii Highway (Route 50), possible in either direction, between mile post 9 to 9.6 in the vicinity of Upa Road and Piko Road, on Monday, June 8 to Friday, June 12 from 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. for reconstruction of pavement.
— RICE STREET (ROUTE 51) —
1) NAWILIWILI
Single lane closure on Rice Street (Route 51), possible in either direction, near mile post 0.8 in the vicinity of Lala Road and Kapule Highway, on Monday, June 8 to Wednesday, June 10, and Friday, June 12 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for installing pavement striping and markers on the roadway. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.
— KUHIO HIGHWAY (ROUTES 56/560) —
1) LIHUE (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)
Center lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) in both directions, between mile post 0.1 to 0.3, in the vicinity of Hardy Street and Poinciana Street nightly on Sunday, June 7 to Friday, June 12 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for waterline replacement. No left turns will be allowed through the work area. Details:
2) WAILUA TO KEALIA (NIGHT WORK)
Roving lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 560), possible in either direction, between mile post 6 to 12, in the vicinity of Kuamoo Road, on Tuesday, June 9 to Wednesday, June 10 from 1 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. for herbicide application.
3) ANAHOLA
Single lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56), possible in either direction, between mile post 13 to 14, in the vicinity of Aliomanu Road, on Monday, June 8 to Wednesday, June 10 and Friday, June 12 from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for landscape maintenance.
4) KALIHIWAI TO PRINCEVILLE (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)
Single lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56), possible in either direction, between mile post 24.2 to 28, in the vicinity of Kahiliholo Road to Emmalani Drive, on Monday, June 8 to Friday, June 12 from 8 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. for striping.
5) HANALEI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)
Single lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 560), in the westbound direction, between mile post 2.8 to 3.3, in the vicinity of Malolo Road and Anae Road, on Sunday, June 7 to Wednesday, June 10 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for paving work. 6) HANALEI
Single lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 560), in the westbound direction, between mile post 2.8 to 3.3, in the vicinity of Malolo Road and Anae Road, on Friday, June 12 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for paving work. 7) WAIKOKO
Single lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 560), possible in either direction, between mile post 4.6 to 4.8, between Waikoko Bridge and Lumahai Beach, on Monday, June 8 to Wednesday, June 10, and Friday, June 12 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for Permanent striping, planting, and placing anchored mesh.
— NAWILIWILI ROAD (ROUTE 58) —
1) PUA LOKE (NIGHT WORK)
Single lane closure on Nawiliwili Road (Route 58) in the eastbound direction between mile post 1.9 to 2.0 in the vicinity of Kukui Grove Street and Kaumualii Highway on, Monday, June 8 to Friday, June 12 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for sewer line installation. Right turn pocket heading eastbound on Kaumualii Highway will be closed and the shoulder eastbound on Kaumualii Highway after the turn pocket will be closed. Traffic to detour to Haleko Road.
— WAIMEA CANYON DRIVE (ROUTE 550) —
1) KOKEE
Single lane closure of Waimea Canyon Drive (Route 550), possible in either direction, between mile post 0.1 to 3.2, in the vicinity of Huakai Road on Monday, June 8 to Wednesday, June 10, and Friday, June 12 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for pavement markers and striping. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.
2) KOKEE
Single lane closure of Waimea Canyon Drive (Route 550), possible in either direction, between mile post 1 to 2, in the vicinity of Maule Road on Monday, June 8 to Wednesday, June 10, and Friday, June 12 for landscape maintenance.
3) KOKEE
Single lane closure of Waimea Canyon Drive (Route 550), possible in either direction between mile post 4.6 to 11.5, on Monday, June 8 to Wednesday, June 10, and Friday, June 12 from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for shoulder reconstruction. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.
— KUAMOO ROAD (ROUTE 580) —
1) WAILUA HOMESTEADS
Roving lane closure of Kuamoo Road (Route 580), possible in either direction between mile post 3 to 3.5, in the vicinity of Pokukala Street and Paako Street on Tuesday, June 9 to Wednesday, June 10 from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for landscape maintenance.
