Kaua‘i Lane Closures

FOR THE WEEK OF JUNE 27- JULY 3

 

PLEASE NOTE:

In observance of the 4th of July holiday, on Friday, July 3 there will be no contraflow and lane closures unless otherwise permitted. — KAUMUALII HIGHWAY (ROUTE 50) —

 

 1) KIPU (NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure on Kaumualii Highway (Route 50), possible in either direction, between mile post 3.5 to 4.5 in the vicinity of Haul Cane Road, on Monday, June 29 to Thursday, July 2 from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. for emergency tree trimming.

 2) KIPU TO OMAO (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure on Kaumualii Highway (Route 50), possible in either direction, between mile post 3.4 to 8.4 in the vicinity of Haul Cane Road and Punee Road, on Sunday, June 28 to Thursday, July 2 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for installing rumble strips on the edges and striping. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.

3) KALAHEO TO ELEELE

Single lane closure on Kaumualii Highway (Route 50), possible in either direction, between mile post 12.2 to 14.9 in the vicinity of Halewili Road and Laulea Street, on Monday, June 29 to Thursday, July 2 from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for landscape maintenance.

 

— RICE STREET (ROUTE 51) —

 

1) NAWILIWILI

Single lane closure on Rice Street (Route 51), possible in either direction, near mile post 0.8 in the vicinity of Lala Road and Kapule Highway, on Monday, June 29 to Thursday, July 2 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for installing pavement striping, markers on the roadway, and drainage installation. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.

 

— KUHIO HIGHWAY (ROUTES 56/560) —

 

1) KAPAIA TO HANAMAULU (NIGHT WORK)

Roving lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56), possible in either direction, between mile post 1 to 2, in the vicinity of Laukini Road and Hanamaulu Road, on Wednesday, July 1 from 1 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. for herbicide application.

2) KAPAA TO KEALIA (NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56), possible in either direction, between mile post 8.1 to 9.6, in the vicinity of Ohia Street and Mailihuna Road, Monday, June 29 to Thursday, July 2 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for signage and paving work.

3) ANAHOLA

Single lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56), possible in either direction, between mile post 13 to 15, in the vicinity of Kukuihale Road and Aliomanu Road, on Monday, June 29 to Thursday, July 2 from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for landscape maintenance.

 

4) KALIHIWAI TO PRINCEVILLE

Single lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56), possible in either direction, between mile post 24.2 to 28, in the vicinity of Kahiliholo Road to Emmalani Drive, Monday, June 29 to Thursday, July 2 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for striping.

 

5) PRINCEVILLE TO HANALEI

Single lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 560), in the westbound direction, between mile post 0.3to 1.2, in the vicinity of Hanalei Plantation Road and Hanalei Bridge, on Monday, June 29 and Tuesday, June 30 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for work on the rock barrier. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.

 

6) HANALEI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 560), in the westbound direction, between mile post 1.5 to 2.8, in the vicinity of Hanalei Bridge and Malolo Road, on Sunday, June 28 to Thursday, July 2 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for paving work. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.

 

— NAWILIWILI ROAD (ROUTE 58) —

 

1) PUA LOKE (NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure on Nawiliwili Road (Route 58) in the eastbound direction near mile post 1.8 in the vicinity of Haleko Road on, Monday, June 29 to Thursday, July 2 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for sewer line installation.

 

— HALEWILI ROAD (ROUTE 540) —

 

1) KALAHEO TO ELEELE

Single lane closure on Halewili Road (Route 58) in the eastbound direction between mile post 0 to 3.8 in the vicinity of Kaumualii Highway on, Monday, June 29 to Thursday, July 2 from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for landscape maintenance.

 

— WAIMEA CANYON DRIVE (ROUTE 550) —

 

1) KOKEE

Single lane closure of Waimea Canyon Drive (Route 550), possible in either direction between mile post 0.1 to 3.2, in the vicinity of Huakai Road, on Monday, June 29 to Thursday, July 2 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for striping and pavement marking. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.

2) KOKEE

Full closure of Waimea Canyon Drive (Route 550), between mile post 0.4 to 6.7, in the vicinity of Maule Road and Kokee Road, on Monday, June 29 to Thursday, July 2 from 8 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. for full depth reconstruction and resurfacing. — KUAMOO ROAD (ROUTE 580) —

Roving lane closure on Kuamoo Road (Route 583), possible in either direction between mile post 0.0 to 4.5 in the vicinity of Kuhio Highway and Aina Pono Street, on Thursday, July 2 from 1 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. for herbicide application.

1) KAPAIA (NIGHT WORK)

Roving lane closure on Maalo Road (Route 583), possible in either direction between mile post 3 to 3.9, on Tuesday, June 30 from 1 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. for herbicide application.

 

— KAPAA BYPASS ROAD (ROUTE 5600)

 

1) WAILUA TO KAPAA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure of Kapaa Bypass Road (Route 5600), between mile post 0.8 to 3, in the vicinity of Kuhio Highway (Wailua) to Olohena Road (Kapaa) on Monday, June 29 to Thursday, July 2 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for pavement marking and striping. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.
