Maui Lane Closures

Update 3/16/26: Spot spraying along Hana Highway (Route 360) is canceled this week due to the inclement weather.
— SOUTH HIGH STREET/HONOAPIILANI HIGHWAY (ROUTE 30) —
1) WAIKAPU
Roving single lane closure on Honoapiilani Highway (Route 30), in the southbound direction, between mile marker 2.5 and 4, between Ololi Place and Waihuali Street, on Wednesday, March 18 to Friday, March 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for tree removal. Traffic will be maintained in both directions with a lane shift.
2) PUAMANA
Shoulder closure on Honoapiilani Highway (Route 30), in both directions, between mile marker 19.2 and 19.6, in between Front Street and Puamana Beach Park on Monday, March 16 to Friday, March 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., to remove and install new guardrails.
3) LAHAINA (24/7 CLOSURE)
Left lane closure on Honoapiilani Highway (Route 30) in the northbound direction between Prison Street and Dickenson Street, 24-hours a day, 7 days a week, for drain line replacement work. 4) LAHAINA (24/7 CLOSURE)
Right lane closure on Honoapiilani Highway (Route 30) in the southbound direction between Dickenson Street and Shaw Street, 24-hours a day, 7 days a week. 5) LAHAINA
Right single lane closure on Honoapiilani Highway (Route 30) in the northbound direction between Lahainaluna Road and Papalaua Street from Monday, March 16 to Friday, March 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for drain line work. One lane will remain open for through traffic.
6) WAHIKULI TO KAANAPALI
Roving single lane closure on Honoapiilani Highway (Route 30), in the northbound direction between mile marker 22 and 24, in the vicinity of Fleming Road and Kaanapali Parkway, from Monday, March 16 to Friday, March 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for Hawaiian Telcom utility work. — PIILANI HIGHWAY (ROUTE 31) —
1) KIHEI (24/7 CLOSURE)
Shoulder closure on Piilani Highway (Route 31), in the northbound direction, in the vicinity of East Waipuilani Road, 24-hours a day, 7 days a week, until further notice for construction of a new intersection for Maui Research & Technology Park residential subdivision. 2) KIHEI (NIGHTWORK)
Single lane closure on Piilani Highway (Route 31), in the northbound direction, in the vicinity of East Waipuilani Road, from Monday, March 16 to Friday, March 20, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., for construction of a new intersection for Maui Research & Technology Park residential subdivision. One lane will remain open for northbound traffic.
— MAIN STREET/KAAHUMANU AVENUE (ROUTE 32) —
1) WAILUKU
Single lane closure on Kaahumanu Avenue (Route 32), in the eastbound direction, between mile marker 0.9 and 1.1, near Kaiser Maui Lani, from Monday, March 16 to Friday, March 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., for sidewalk construction. One lane will remain open for through traffic.
2) KAHULUI (NIGHT WORK)
Left side single lane closure on Kaahumanu Avenue (Route 32), in both directions, near the Maui Beach Hotel, from 9 p.m., Thursday, March 19 to 5:30 a.m., Friday, March 20, for striping work. Those needing to turn left from Kaahumanu Avenue to the hotels, may do so at the Lono Avenue intersection.
— HANA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 36/360) —
1) KAHULUI
Shoulder closure on Hana Highway (Route 36), in the southbound direction, between mile marker 0.2 and 0.3, near Island Honda, from Wednesday, March 18 and Friday, March 20, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., for HECO utility work.
2) HUELO TO KAILUA (NIGHT WORK)
Roving shoulder closure on Hana Highway (Route 360), in either direction, between mile marker 3 and 6, from Monday, March 16 to Friday, March 20, from 12:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., for weed control spot spraying, weather permitting.
3) WAIKAMOI TO HONOMANU (NIGHT WORK)
Roving shoulder closure on Hana Highway (Route 360), in either direction, between mile marker 10 and 13, from Monday, March 16 to Friday, March 20, from 12:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., for weed control spot spraying, weather permitting.
4) HONOMANU TO WAILUA
Roving single lane closure on Hana Highway (Route 360), in either direction, between mile marker 12 and 19 from Monday, March 16 to Friday, March 20 from 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for guardrail landscaping.
5) HONOMANU (NIGHT WORK)
Roving shoulder closure on Hana Highway (Route 360), in either direction, between mile marker 13.5 and 16 from Monday, March 16 to Friday, March 20, from 12:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., for weed control spot spraying, weather permitting.
6) WAILUA (NIGHT WORK)
Roving shoulder closure on Hana Highway (Route 360), in either direction, between mile marker 18 and 20, from Monday, March 16 to Friday, March 20, from 12:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., for weed control spot spraying, weather permitting.
7) WAILUA
Intermittent road closure on Hana Highway (Route 360) in both directions, at mile marker 19.4 and 19.6 on Monday, March 16 to Friday, March 20, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., for rock scaling. 8) NAHIKU TO HANA (NIGHT WORK)
Roving shoulder closure on Hana Highway (Route 360), in either direction, between mile marker 26 and 30 from Monday, March 16 to Friday, March 20, from 12:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., for weed control spot spraying, weather permitting.

Roving single lane closure on Kula Highway (Route 37), in the northbound direction, at the intersection with Omaopio Road, from Monday, March 16 to Friday, March 20 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for intersection work. 1) KULA
Roving single lane closure on Haleakala Highway (Route 377), in the northbound direction, between mile marker 2 and 3, from Monday, March 16 to Wednesday, March 18, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for tree removal. Traffic will be alternated in the open lane.
2) KULA
Single lane closure on Haleakala Highway (Route 377), in the southbound direction, between mile marker 5 and 6, in the vicinity of Upper Kimo Drive and Crater Road, from Wednesday, March 18 to Friday, March 20 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., for HECO utility work. Traffic will be alternated in the open lane.
— PUUNENE AVENUE (ROUTE 3500) —
1) KAHULUI (24/7 CLOSURE)
Right merge lane closed on Puunene Avenue (Route 3500) in the southbound direction at Wakea Avenue, between mile marker 0.4 and 0.5, for 24-hours a day, 7 days a week, for the Puunene Avenue Improvements project.
2) KAHULUI (NIGHT WORK)
Roving single lane closures on Puunene Avenue (Route 3500) in both directions between Wakea Avenue and Kuihelani Highway, nightly from 8:30 p.m., Monday, March 16 to 4:30 a.m., Friday, March 20. The lane closures are for striping work for the Puunene Avenue Improvements project.
