PLEASE NOTE:

A Holiday Lane Closure Restriction runs from Tuesday, Dec. 23, through Sunday, Jan. 4. Only closures with demonstrated need (e.g., necessary for safety or to avoid lengthy construction delays) have been approved and are on this list. There will be no lane closures on Thursday, Dec. 25 in observance of Christmas Day. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting. Updated 12/22/25: There will be no single lane closure on Hana Highway (Route 360) between mile markers 3 and 4 on Tuesday, Dec. 23, as HECO has postponed its pole maintenance work. 

 

— HONOAPIILANI HIGHWAY (ROUTE 30) —

 

 1) OLOWALU (24/7 CLOSURE)

Shoulder closure on Honoapiilani Highway (Route 30) in both directions, between mile marker 13.7 and 14.5 in Olowalu for emergency erosion mitigation work. Traffic will be maintained in both directions with a lane shift.

 

2) LAHAINA (24/7 CLOSURE)

Left lane closure on Honoapiilani Highway (Route 30) in the northbound direction between Prison Street and Dickenson Street, 24-hours a day, 7 days a week, until further notice in preparation for upcoming drain line replacement work. One lane in the northbound direction will be open for through traffic.

 

 

— KULA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 37) —

 

 

1) KULA  

Single lane closure on Kula Highway (Route 37), in the northbound direction, at the intersection with Omaopio Road, from Monday, Dec. 22 to Tuesday, Dec. 23, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for intersection improvements. — HANA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 360) —

 

1) HUELO

Single lane closure on Hana Highway (Route 360), in the westbound direction, between mile marker 3 and 4, in the vicinity of East Waipio Road and Door of Faith Road on Tuesday, Dec. 23, from 9 a.m. to noon, for emergency HECO pole maintenance.

 

 

— HALEAKALA HIGHWAY/KEKAULIKE AVENUE (ROUTE 377) —

 

 

1) KULA

Shoulder closure on Haleakala Highway/Kekaulike Avenue (Route 377), in either direction, between mile marker 0 and 9.1, in between Old Haleakala Highway and Kula Highway, from Monday, Dec. 22 to Tuesday, Dec. 23 and on Friday, Dec. 26, from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for guardrail landscaping.

 

 

— CRATER ROAD (ROUTE 378) —

 

1) KULA 

Single lane closure on Crater Road (Route 378), in either direction, between mile marker 0 to 10, from Monday, Dec. 22 to Wednesday, Dec. 24, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., for paving work and speed table installation. — KUIHELANI HIGHWAY (ROUTE 380) —

 

1) KAHULUI  

Single lane closure on Kuihelani Highway (Route 380), in either direction, between mile marker 1.3 to 6.1, on Monday, Dec. 22, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., for pavement striping. One lane in each direction will remain open.

 

 

— WAIEHU BEACH ROAD (ROUTE 3400) —

 

 

1) PAUKUKALO TO WAIEHU  

Single lane closure on Waiehu Beach Road (Route 3400), in either direction, between mile marker 1.15 to 2.62, on Monday, Dec. 22, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., for pavement striping. Traffic will be alternated in the open lane.

 

 

 

— PUUNENE AVENUE (ROUTE 3500) —

 

1) KAHULUI

Single lane closure on Puunene Avenue (Route 3500) in the southbound direction, between mile marker 0.15 and 0.2, in the vicinity of the Kahului Post Office, on Monday, Dec. 22 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., for HECO pole replacement. One southbound lane will remain open.

 

2) KAHULUI (24/7 CLOSURE)

Right merge lane closed on Puunene Avenue (Route 3500) in the southbound direction at Wakea Avenue, 24-hours a day, 7 days a week, for the Puunene Avenue Improvements project.
