— H-1 FREEWAY — 

Closures for the Honolulu Marathon on Sunday, Dec. 8 on the H-1 Freeway can be found at https://www.honolulumarathon.org/key-information/course-description 

1) MAKAKILO TO WAIPAHU (WEEKEND/ NIGHT WORK) 

Right lane closure on the H-1 Freeway, in the westbound direction, in the vicinity of the Kapolei/ Makakilo off-ramp (Exit 2) and the Ewa Beach off-ramp (Exit 5A), on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 3 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for grass and tree trimming, and scrapping.  

 

2) WAIAWA TO STADIUM (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK) 

Three left lanes closed on the H-1 Freeway, in the westbound direction, in the vicinity of the Waiawa Road Crossover and the Airport Viaduct Zipper Hale, on Sunday, Dec. 8, through Thursday, Dec. 12, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. for paving. The Zipper Lane will be deployed from 7 p.m. 

 

3) STADIUM TO RADFORD (WEEKEND/ NIGHT WORK) 

Two right lanes continuously closed on the H-1 Freeway, in the westbound direction, in the vicinity of Kahuapaani Street and Nimitz Highway, beginning at 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, through 2:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 9, for the H-1 Salt Lake Rehabilitation. Nimitz Highway off-ramp to the westbound H-1 Airport Viaduct will also be closed during this work. 

 

4) AIRPORT (WEEKEND/ NIGHT WORK) 

Full closure of the eastbound H-1 Freeway/Airport Viaduct on-ramp from Kamehameha Highway (Route 99), in the vicinity of Nimitz Highway, on Sunday, Dec. 8 through Thursday, Dec. 12, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. for HART paving work.

5) AIRPORT (24 HOUR LANE CLOSURE) 

Three left lanes closed on the H-1 Freeway/Airport Viaduct, in the westbound direction, in the vicinity of the Pearl Harbor Interchange and the Keehi Interchange, continuously from 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, through 4 a.m. Monday, Dec. 9, for concrete deck and joint repairs.  

 

6) HONOLULU (NIGHT WORK) 

Three right lanes and off-ramp closed on the H-1 Freeway/Airport Viaduct in the westbound direction, at the Airport off-ramp (Exit 16), on Tuesday, Dec. 10 through Friday, Dec. 13, from 6 p.m. to 4 a.m. for concrete deck repairs. Details here. 

 

7) HONOLULU (NIGHT WORK) 

Three right lanes closed on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction, in the vicinity of the Pearl Harbor Interchange and the Keehi Interchange, on Tuesday, Dec. 10 through Friday, Dec. 13, from 7:30 p.m. to 4 a.m. for concrete deck repairs. 8) HONOLULU (WEEKEND/ NIGHT WORK) 

Lane closure on the Middle Street/Dillingham Boulevard off-ramp (Exit 18B) from the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction on Sunday, Dec. 8, through Thursday, Dec. 12, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m., for HART station work.

9) KALIHI (NIGHT WORK) 

Two right lanes closed on the H-1 Freeway, in the eastbound direction, in the vicinity of Ola Lane and the Likelike Highway off-ramp (Exit 20A), nightly Monday, Dec. 9 through Friday, Dec. 13, from 9 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. as part of the H-1 Freeway Widening. 10) KALIHI (24 HOUR CLOSURE)

11) KAIMUKI (NIGHT WORK) 

Full ramp closure from the H-1 Freeway in both directions, at the King Street off-ramps (Exit 25A), on Thursday, Dec. 12, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. for the Kapahulu-Moiliili Christmas Parade. Details here.  

 

12) KAIMUKI (WEEKEND/ NIGHT WORK) Right shoulder closure on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction, in the vicinity of the Kapiolani Boulevard off-ramp (Exit 25B) and the King Street off-ramp (Exit 25A), on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 3 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for delineator installations, grass trimming, and scraping.  

 

13) KAIMUKI 

Right shoulder closure on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction, in the vicinity of the Kapiolani Boulevard off-ramp (Exit 25B) and 3rd Avenue, on Tuesday, Dec. 10, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for guardrail and post repairs prior to the off-ramp. 

 

 

— H-201 MOANALUA FREEWAY — 

1) HALAWA TO HONOLULU (WEEKEND/ NIGHT WORK) 

Two left lanes closed on the H-201 Moanalua Freeway, in the westbound direction, in the vicinity of the Halawa Interchange and the Middle Street Overpass, on Sunday, Dec. 8, through Friday, Dec. 13, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for pavement maintenance work.  

 

2) KALIHI (NIGHT WORK) 

Full closure on the H-201 Moanalua Freeway off-ramp to the H-1 Freeway, in the eastbound direction, in the vicinity of the Honolulu/ King Steet off-ramp, on Monday, Dec. 9 through Friday, Dec. 13, from 9 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. as part of the H-1 Freeway Widening. Right lane closure on Farrington Highway (Route 93) in the westbound direction, in the vicinity of Waianae Mall and Leihoku Street, on Monday, Dec. 9 through Friday, Dec. 13, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for construction boring.

Right lane closure on Farrington Highway (Route 93) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Glenmonger Street and Tamura’s Super Market/ First Hawaiian Bank, on Monday, Dec. 9 though Friday, Dec. 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for HECO to perform urgent powerline repairs.

Single lane closure on Farrington Highway (Route 93) in the eastbound direction, in the vicinity of Maipalaoa Bridge, on Monday, Dec. 9 through Friday, Dec. 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for channel liner and waterline work as part of the Maipalaoa Bridge Project.

Single lane closure on Farrington Highway (Route 93) in the westbound direction, in the vicinity of Ulehawa Beach Park, on Wednesday, Dec. 11, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for electrical pole repairs.

Single center lane closure on Farrington Highway (Route 93) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Kaukama Road and Hakimo Road, on Monday, Dec. 9 and Tuesday, Dec. 10, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for median cleaning.  

 

7) HONOKAI HALE TO KAPOLEI  

Single lane closure on Farrington Highway (Route 93) in the westbound direction, in the vicinity of Aliinui Drive and Campbell Industrial Park/ Barbers Point Harbor off-ramp (Exit 1A), on Monday, Dec. 9, through Wednesday, Dec. 11, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for repairs to broken gutters, concrete and swales.  

 

8) KAPOLEI 

Right shoulder closure on Farrington Highway (Route 93) in the Waianae-bound direction, in the vicinity of the Kalaeloa Boulevard off-ramp (Exit 1B) on Tuesday, Dec. 10, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for asphalt patching. 

 

9) KUNIA 

Right lane closure on Farrington Highway (Route 7110) in the Honolulu-bound direction, in the vicinity of Kunia Road and Fort Weaver Road, on Monday, Dec. 9 and Tuesday, Dec. 10, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for shoulder improvement work.  

 

10) WAIPAHU  

Right lane closure on Farrington Highway (Route 7110) in the Honolulu-bound direction, in the vicinity of Mokuola Street and Awamoku Street, on Tuesday, Dec. 10, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for Board of Water Supply contractor to patch asphalt in shoulder lane.  

 

11) WAIPAHU TO PEARL CITY  

Roving right shoulder closure on Farrington Highway (Route 7110) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Awanui Street and the H-1 Freeway, on Monday, Dec. 9 through Thursday, Dec. 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. for grass trimming.

 

— KALANIANAOLE HIGHWAY/ KAILUA ROAD (ROUTES 61/72) —

Single lane closure on Kailua Road (Route 61) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Ulumanu Drive and Uluoa Street, on Monday, Dec. 9, through Friday, Dec. 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for work on traffic signals project. Potential closures of both lanes may be necessary.  

 

2) KAILUA TO CASTLE JUNCTION

Left lane closure on Kalanianaole Highway (Route 61) in the Honolulu-bound direction, between mile marker 7 to 9, in the vicinity of Auloa Road, on Monday, Dec. 9 through Friday, Dec. 13, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for guardrail repairs and survey work.  

  

3) KAILUA TO CASTLE JUNCTION 

Right lane closure on Kalanianaole Highway (Route 61) in the Honolulu-bound direction, in the vicinity of Kapaa Quarry Road and Auloa Road, on Monday, Dec. 9 through Friday, Dec. 13, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for tree trimming.  

 

4) KAILUA TO CASTLE JUNCTION 

Right shoulder closure on Kalanianaole Highway (Route 61) in the Honolulu-bound direction, in the vicinity of Kapaa Quarry Road and Auloa Road, on Monday, Dec. 9 through Friday, Dec. 13, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for tree trimming.

Alternating single lane closure on Kalanianaole Highway (Route 61) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Olomana Golf Course, on Friday, Dec. 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for paving of new speed hump table near Olomana Golf Course.

Roving right shoulder closure on Kamehameha Highway (Route 83) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Haleiwa Beach Park and Waihee Road, on Monday, Dec. 9 through Friday, Dec. 13, from 7 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. for tree trimming, pothole filling and sign maintenance. 

 

3) NORTH SHORE (NIGHT WORK) 

Right lane closure on Kamehameha Highway (Route 83) in the Kahuku-bound direction, in the vicinity of Kawailoa Drive, on Monday, Dec. 9 through Friday, Dec. 13, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for Kawailoa Transfer Station Improvements. 

 

4) NORTH SHORE  

Alternating single lane closure on Kamehameha Highway (Route 83) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Kawailoa Drive and Pohaku Loa Way, on Monday, Dec. 9 through Friday, Dec. 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for installation of Best Management Practices (BMP’s.) 

 

5) PUNALUU 

Left lane closure on Kamehameha Highway (Route 83) possible in either direction, in the vicinity Green Valley Road and Punaluu Beach Park, on Monday, Dec. 9 through Friday, Dec. 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for guardrail repairs. Crews will close one direction at a time. 

 

6) KAHALUU 

Single lane closure on Kamehameha Highway (Route 83) possible in either direction, in the vicinity Waihee Road, on Monday, Dec. 9, through Friday, Dec. 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for graffiti removal and delineator installations. 

 

7) KANEOHE TO KAILUA 

Roving single lane closure on Kamehameha Highway (Route 83) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Kaneohe Bay Drive and Pali Highway, on Monday, Dec. 9, through Friday, Dec. 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for installation of permanent striping and markings. 

  

8) PEARL CITY  

Roving right shoulder closure on Kamehameha Highway (Route 99) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Leeward Community College and Acacia Road, on Monday, Dec. 9 through Thursday, Dec. 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. for grass and tree trimming. 

 

9) PEARL CITY  

Roving right shoulder closure on Kamehameha Highway (Route 99) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Leeward Community College and Kaonohi Street, on Monday, Dec. 9 through Thursday, Dec. 12, from 7:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. for work line grass trimming.

 

10) PEARL HARBOR 

Up to two lanes closed on Kamehameha Highway (Route 99) in both directions between Center Drive and Kohomua Street on Monday, Dec. 9 through Friday, Dec. 13, over a 24-hour period, for The Rail.

11) KALIHI (24/7 CLOSURE) 

Kamehameha Highway between Middle Street and Laumaka Street will be reduced to one westbound and one eastbound lane 24-hours a day, seven days a week, for The Rail. Other adjustments to the area include: 

No left turns from Kamehameha Highway will be allowed. 

Pedestrian access will be maintained. 

Driveway and business access will be maintained. 

The H-1 eastbound off-ramp to Dillingham Blvd. will be reduced to one lane. Middle Street southbound left turn reduced to single turn lane. 

The sidewalk on the makai side of Dillingham Boulevard between Puuhale Road and Mokauea Street will be closed 24/7 with pedestrians rerouted to the mauka sidewalk.

— LIKELIKE HIGHWAY (ROUTE 63) —

Roving single lane closure on Likelike Highway (Route 63) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of the Wilson Tunnels and Nalanieha Street, on Monday, Dec. 9, through Thursday, Dec. 12, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. for herbicide application.

Right lane closure on Likelike Highway (Route 63) in the Honolulu-bound direction, in the vicinity of the Wilson Tunnels and Nalanieha Street, on Monday, Dec. 9, through Friday, Dec. 13, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. for tree trimming and scraping work.

Right lane closure on Likelike Highway (Route 63) in the Honolulu-bound direction, between mile post 3.2 to 5, on Monday, Dec. 9 through Friday, Dec. 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for drill sampling for culvert replacement.

Right lane closure on Nimitz Highway (Route 92) in the eastbound direction between Main Street and Aolele Street on Monday, Dec. 9, through Friday, Dec. 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for The Rail work.

Three to five lanes closed on Fort Weaver Road (Route 76) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Ewa Beach Road and Parish Drive, on Saturday, Dec. 7 and Sunday, Dec. 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for emergency work on existing 30-inch gravity sewer line.

Three to five lanes closed on Fort Weaver Road (Route 76) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Ewa Beach Road and Parish Drive, on Monday, Dec. 9 through Friday, Dec. 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for emergency work on existing 30-inch gravity sewer line.  

 

3) EWA BEACH (24-HOUR CLOSURE) 

Center lane closures on Fort Weaver Road in both directions, in the vicinity of Ewa Beach Road and Parish Drive, on Monday, Dec. 8, through Friday, Dec. 13, over a 24-hour period, for permanent sewer line repairs to be completed. 

 

4) EWA BEACH 

Single lane closure on Fort Weaver Road, possible in either direction, between mile marker 4.2 to 7.3, in the vicinity of Pohakupuna Road and Hanakahi Street, on Monday, Dec. 9 through Friday, Dec. 13, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. for restriping of crosswalks.  

 

5) EWA BEACH  

Right lane closure on Fort Weaver Road, in the Honolulu-bound direction, in the vicinity of Renton Road, on Monday, Dec. 9, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for HECO to work on overhead conductors. Right lane and right-turn lane will be closed during these work hours. Right turns onto Renton Road from Fort Weaver Road will be allowed at the intersection. 

 

6) EWA BEACH  

Two right lanes closed on Fort Weaver Road, possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Renton Road, on Tuesday, Dec. 10, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for HECO to work on overhead conductors. Right lane and right-turn lane will be closed during these work hours. Right turns onto Renton Road from Fort Weaver Road will be allowed at the intersection.
