1) WAIPAHU TO AIEA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Two to three lanes closed on the right-hand side of the eastbound H-1 Freeway, in the vicinity of the Naval Access Road underpass to the Waimalu off-ramp (Exit 10) for the Pearl City & Waimalu Viaduct Deck Repairs. Closure hours vary by day of the week and are:

• 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 9, through 6 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 10
• 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10 through 8 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 11

Note: The closure will start with two lanes closed from 7 p.m. and increase to three lanes from 8 p.m. through the duration of the closure.

4) PEARL CITY TO AIEA (NIGHT WORK)

Four lanes closed on the left-hand side of the eastbound H-1 Freeway, in the vicinity of the Waiawa Road overpass and the Kaonohi Street overpass, from 7 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. on the evening of Monday, Jan. 12 through Thursday, Jan. 15 Wednesday, Jan. 14 for work as part of the Pearl City & Waimalu Viaduct Repairs.

5) SALT LAKE TO STADIUM (WEEKEND/ NIGHT WORK)

Closure of three lanes building to four on the right-hand side of the eastbound H-1 Freeway, between the Kaimakani Street overpass and the Nimitz Highway/Airport off-ramp (Exit 15), continuously closed from 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 9 through 2 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 12 for paving work as part of the H-1 Salt Lake Rehabilitation project.

The fourth lane will be closed during the following hours:

• 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 9 to 4:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 10
• 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10 to 7 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 11

10) HONOLULU (24-HOUR CLOSURE)

11) KAIMUKI TO KAHALA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Roving single lane closure on the left-hand side of the H-1 Freeway, between the Kapiolani Boulevard overpass and Ainakoa Avenue, from 3 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on the morning of Saturday, Jan. 10 for tree and grass trimming, and scraping work. (i.e. removal of moss) within the median.

Three lanes closed on the left-hand side of the westbound H-201 Moanalua Freeway in the vicinity of the Halawa Interchange and Richard Lane, nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day on Monday Jan. 5, through Thursday, Jan. 15, for repaving as part of the H-201 Moanalua Freeway Repaving.

2) FORT SHAFTER (NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure on the left-hand side of the eastbound H-201 Moanalua Freeway, in the vicinity of the Kikowaena Street on-ramp and the Funston Road overpass, from 9:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. on the evening of Monday, Jan. 12 through Thursday, Jan. 15 for concrete barrier repairs.

Single lane and shoulder closure on the right-hand side of the Honolulu-bound H-3 Freeway, through the Harano Tunnel, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 12 and Wednesday, Jan. 14 for tunnel inspections.

Roving single lane closure on the right-hand side of Pali Highway (Route 61) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of School Street and Waokanaka Street, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 12 through Friday, Jan. 16 for grass trimming and litter removal.

2) NUUANU

Single lane closure on Pali Highway (Route 61) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of South Kuakini Street and Waokanaka Street, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 16 for crosswalk gateway and delineator maintenance.

3) NUUANU

Single lane closure on the right-hand side of Pali Highway (Route 61), in the vicinity of Waokanaka Street and Nuuanu Pali State Park, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 12 through Friday, Jan. 16 for tree trimming and scraping work.

4) KAILUA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure on the right-hand side of Kailua-bound Pali Highway (Route 61) at the hairpin turn scenic point, from 4 a.m. to 7 a.m. on the morning of Saturday, Jan. 10 for electrical work. Closure may be of the left or right lane; one lane to be closed at a time.

5) KAILUA

Single lane closure on the left-hand side Kalanianaole Highway/Kailua Road (Route 61), possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Ulumanu Drive and Uluhala Street, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 12 through Friday, Jan. 16 for traffic signals project. Potential closures of a single lane in both directions (for a total of two lanes) may be necessary.

 

— LIKELIKE HIGHWAY/ KALIHI STREET (ROUTE 63) —

1) KALIHI

Right lane closure on Kalihi Street (Route 63) possible in either direction between Eluwene Street and Coburn Street, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 12 through Friday, Jan. 16 for HART civil work approaching the Dillingham Boulevard intersection. One lane to remain open at all times.

Single lane closure on the right-hand side of Kaneohe-bound Kalihi Street/Likelike Highway, in the vicinity of School Street and Makuahine Street, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. on the evening of Monday, Jan. 12 for installation of new fiber cable for Hawaiian Telcom.

Single lane closure on Likelike Highway (Route 63) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Nalanieha Street and the Burmeister overpass, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 12 through Friday, Jan. 16 for installation of pavement markings.

Right shoulder closure on eastbound Kaneohe Bay Drive (Route 65) in the vicinity of Aumoku Street and Nohonani Place from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 12 through Friday, Jan. 16 for erosion control work.

2) KOKO HEAD TO HAWAII KAI

Single lane closure on the right-hand side of Kalanianaole Highway (Route 72) possible in either direction, in the vicinity Sandy Beach Park and Lunalilo Home Road, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 12 through Thursday, Jan. 15 for sign maintenance. Closure may be of the left or right lane; one lane to be closed at a time.

Single lane closure and lane shift on Kamehameha Highway (Route 83), possible in either direction, at the Kahaluu Roundabout, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 12 through Friday, Jan. 16 for installation of Rectangular Red Flashing Beacons (RRFBs) and removal of signposts.

 

— KAHEKILI HIGHWAY/KAMEHAMEHA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 83) —

Roving shoulder closure on the left- or right-hand side of Kahekili Highway/Kamehameha Highway (Route 83) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Hui Iwa Street and Haiku Road, from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 12 through Friday, Jan. 16 for grass trimming. One lane to be closed at a time.

Single lane closure on the right-hand side of westbound Nimitz Highway (Route 92) in the vicinity of Keehi Lagoon and the Kalihi Stream Bridge, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 12 through Friday, Jan. 16 for installation of fencing.

3) HONOLULU (24/7 CLOSURE)

Closures on Nimitz Highway (Route 92) between Awa Street and Richards Street on Sunday, Jan. 11, through Friday, Jan. 16, over a 24-hour period, for HART work includes:

• Awa Street closed 24/7 from Nimitz Highway, in either direction through November 2025.

Single lane closure on the right-hand side of westbound Ala Moana Boulevard (Route 92) in the right turn lane onto Ward Avenue, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 12 for fiber cable move by Spectrum.

Two lanes closed on the left-hand side of eastbound Ala Moana Boulevard (Route 92) in the vicinity of Ala Moana Beach Park North Tennis Courts and Piikoi Street, from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 14 through Friday, Jan. 16 for helicopter lift work.

 

— FARRINGTON HIGHWAY (ROUTE 93) —

1) MAKAHA TO KAPOLEI

Roving shoulder closure on the right-hand side of Farrington Highway (Route 93) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Makua Beach and the Kalaeloa Interchange, from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 12 through Thursday, Jan. 15 for various maintenance activities to address complaints.

2) NANAKULI TO KAPOLEI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Two lanes closed on the left-hand side of Farrington Highway (Route 93), one in each direction, in the vicinity of Pohakunui Avenue and the Kalaeloa Interchange, from 7 p.m. to 6:15 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 11 through Thursday, Jan. 15 for pavement reconstruction, signage and drainage relocation, and widening work. Single lane closure on the right-hand side of the westbound Vineyard Boulevard (Route 98) in the vicinity of Liliha Street and Liliha Shopping Center, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 14 for HECO to replace two utility poles fronting the shopping center.

 

—KAMEHAMEHA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 99)—

1) HALEIWA

Roving single lane closure on the right-hand side of Kamehameha Highway (Route 99) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Weed Circle and Nui Avenue, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 12 through Friday, Jan. 16 for work line grass trimming.

2) HALEIWA

Roving shoulder lane closure on the right-hand side of Kamehameha Highway (Route 99) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Weed Circle and Nui Avenue, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 12 through Thursday, Jan. 15 for mechanical mowing.

3) AIEA TO PEARL HARBOR (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure on eastbound Kamehameha Highway (Route 99), in the vicinity of Honomanu Street and Salt Lake Boulevard, from 9:30 p.m. to 4 a.m. on the evening of Friday, Jan. 9 for installation of pavement markings. Closure may be of the left or right lane; one lane to be closed at a time.

4) PEARL HARBOR

Single lane closure on Kamehameha Highway (Route 99) possible in either direction between Kohomua Street and Center Drive, on Monday, Jan. 12, through Friday, Jan. 16 for HART civil work. Closure times vary by direction and are scheduled as follows:

• Eastbound closures: 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
• Westbound closures: 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

5) KALIHI (24/7 CLOSURE)

The following closures are 24-hours a day, seven days a week, for The Rail.

• H-1 eastbound off-ramp to Dillingham Blvd. reduced to one lane.
• Middle Street southbound left turn reduced to single turn lane.
• Dillingham Boulevard eastbound between Middle Street and Marukai will have a single lane closed.
• Dillingham Boulevard westbound between GasPro and Middle Street will have a single lane closed.

Full closure and detour on northbound Jarrett White Road (Route 7310) between Ala Mahamoe Street and Apona Street, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 12 through Friday, Jan. 16 for sewer line repairs. Motorists will be detoured via Ainapua Street.
