Kauai lane closures scheduled for the week of November 27 – December 3

— KAUMUALII HIGHWAY (ROUTE 50) —

 

1) MALUHIA

Single lane closure on Kaumualii Highway (Route 50) between Maluhia Road and mile marker 6 (“Halfway Bridge”) on Monday, Nov. 29 through Tuesday, Nov. 30 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for brush clearing. 2) ELEELE

New traffic signal at Kaumualii Highway (Route 50) and its intersection with Laulea Street and Mahea Road will activated on Wednesday, Dec. 1. — KUHIO HIGHWAY (ROUTES 56/560) —

 

1) LIHUE TO PRINCEVILLE

Roving right lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) in the northbound direction between Rice Street and Hanalei Plantation Road on Monday, Nov. 29 through Dec. 3 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for installation of weed control matting. Travel in both directions will be maintained with alternating traffic control (contraflow).

 

2) WAILUA (24-HOUR WEEKLY WORK)

Right shoulder closure and narrowed lanes of Kuhio Highway (Route 56) in the southbound direction between mile markers 5.7 and 6.6, in the vicinity of Leho Drive and Kapaa Bypass, on Saturday, Nov. 27 through Friday, Dec. 3, 24-hours-a-day, for road and shoulder work.

 

3) ANAHOLA

 

Shoulder closure and lane shift on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) in the southbound direction between the vicinity of milepost 12 sign to Kukuihale Road, on Monday, Nov. 29 through Friday, Dec. 3, 24-hours a day to allow crews to work on centerlane widening without lane closure.

 

4) KILAUEA

 

Right lane closure of Kuhio Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction between vicinity of Moloaa Stream/Kapuna Road and Waiakalua Street, on Monday, Nov. 29 through Friday, Dec. 3, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for landscaping. Work will begin in the northbound direction and will switch to southbound once northbound landscaping is completed. Travel in both directions will be maintained with alternating traffic control (contraflow).
