OAHU

— H-1 FREEWAY —

1) HALAWA TO PEARL CITY (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

One to three right lane closures on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between the Halawa Interchange and Kamehameha Highway overpass from 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 11, through 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12, for surface repair work. The Moanalua Road onramp to the westbound H-1 Freeway will remain open.

  • Friday, 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. – Two WB right lane closed
  • Friday, 9 p.m. to Saturday, 9 a.m. – Three WB right lanes closed
  • Saturday, 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. – Two WB right lane closed
  • Saturday, 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. – One WB right lane closed
  • Saturday, 5 p.m. to Sunday, 10:15 a.m. – One WB right lane closed (if necessary)

2) HONOLULU (WEEKEND WORK)

Alternating lane closure on the Airport offramp (Exit 16) from the westbound H-1 Freeway on Saturday, Oct. 12, from 5:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., for bridge maintenance.

 

3) KAPOLEI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Closure of the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between the Makakilo Drive overpass and the Campbell Industrial Park/Barbers Point Harbor offramp (Exit 1) on Sunday night, Oct. 13, through Friday morning, Oct. 18, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., for the Kapolei Interchange Complex Phase 2 project. Motorists will be directed to Makakilo/Kapolei/Kalaeloa offramp (Exit 2) as an alternate route.

4) KAPOLEI TO KAHUKU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Roving right lane on the H-1 Freeway/Kamehameha Highway (Route 99)/H-2 Freeway/Wilikina Drive/Kamananui Road/Kamehameha Highway (Route 83) on Sunday night, Oct. 13, through Monday morning, Oct. 14, from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m., to transport materials for the Na Pua Makani Windfarm project.

  • Roving right lane on the eastbound H-1 Freeway from Kalaeloa Boulevard to the northbound Kamehameha Highway offramp (Exit 8C), then a right turn onto Ka Uka Boulevard to the northbound H-2 Freeway, continue onto Wilikina Drive and a right onto Kamananui Road and back onto northbound Kamehameha Highway (Route 99) from 11 p.m. to 12 a.m.
  • Closure of Kamehameha Highway (Route 83) in both directions from Laniakea Beach to Sunset Beach from 12 a.m. to 2 a.m.
  • Roving right lane closure on Kamehameha Highway from Sunset Beach to Kahuku, from 2 a.m. to 3 a.m.

5) KUNIA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Two right lane closures on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction between the Managers Drive overpass and the Waipahu Street overpass on Friday night, Oct. 11, from 9:30 p.m. to 4 a.m., for pavement marking.

 

6) PEARL CITY (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Two lane closures on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction between the H-1/H-2 merge and the Aiea Heights Drive overpass on Friday night, Oct. 11, through Saturday morning, Oct. 12, from 6:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. A third lane will be closed from 7:30 p.m. to 6 a.m., for shoulder widening work. The shoulder lane will be closed.

7) WAIMALU (WEEKEND WORK)

Right lane closure on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction in the vicinity of the Pearlridge/Waimalu offramp (Exit 10) on Saturday, Oct. 12, from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m., for electrical maontenance.

 

— FARRINGTON HIGHWAY (ROUTES 93/930) —

1) MOKULEIA (WEEKEND WORK)

Roving lane closure on Farrington Highway (Route 930) in both directions between Kaukonahua Road and Dillingham Airfield on Saturday, Oct. 12, from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for tree trimming work.

 

2) WAIANAE (WEEKEND WORK)

Roving closure on Farrington Highway (Route 93) in the northbound direction in the vicinity of Kaena Point on Sunday, Oct. 13, through Friday, Oct. 18, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., for filming work.

 

— KALANIANAOLE HIGHWAY (ROUTES 61/72) —

1) WAIMANALO (WEEKEND WORK)

Roving lane closure on Kalanianaole Highway (Route 72) in both directions between Aloiloi Street and Inoaole Street on Saturday, Oct. 12, from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m., for tree trimming.

 

— KAMEHAMEHA HIGHWAY (ROUTES 80/83/99) —

1) PUPUKEA (24-HOUR WORK)

Shoulder closure on Kamehameha Highway (Route 83) in the northbound direction between Iliohu Place and Paumalu Place on Sunday, Oct. 13, through Friday, Oct. 18, over a 24-hour period, for the Na Pua Makani Windfarm project. Traffic will be contraflowed.

2) WAIMALU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)
Intermittent lane closures on Kamehameha Highway (Route 99) in both directions between Salt Lake Boulevard and Kuleana Road on Sunday night, Oct. 13, through Friday morning, Oct. 18, for The Rail project. At least one lane in each direction will be open at all times.

  • Eastbound lanes will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • Westbound lanes will be closed from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

— NIMITZ HIGHWAY (ROUTE 92) —

1) HONOLULU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Lane closure on Nimitz Highway (Route 92) in both directions between Libby Street and Alakawa Street on Sunday night, Oct. 13, through Friday morning, Oct. 18, from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m., for sewer work.

 

2) HONOLULU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Lane closures on Nimitz Highway (Route 92) in the eastbound direction between the Keehi Interchange and Sand Island Access Road on Sunday night, Oct. 13, through Friday morning, Oct. 18, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., for The Rail project.

— PALI HIGHWAY (ROUTE 61) —

1) NUUANU TO KANEOHE (WEEKEND AND WEEKLY CLOSURE)
Closure of the Pali Highway (Route 61) in both directions between Waokanaka Street and Kamehameha Highway for slope stabilization. Access to the Pali Highway is as follows:

Sundays through Fridays

  • Both directions will be open from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m.

 

2) NUUANU (WEEKEND WORK)

Lane closure on the Pali Highway in both directions in the vicinity of Nuuanu Pali Drive on Saturday, Oct. 12, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., for landscape maintenance.

 

3) NUUANU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Closure of the Pali Highway (Route 61) in the Honolulu-bound direction between the Wylie Street overpass and Pauoa Road offramp on Sunday night, Oct. 13, through Friday morning, Oct. 18, from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m., for the Pali Highway Resurfacing project. One lane will be tentatively closed from 3 a.m. to 5 a.m. Detour signs to Wylie Street and Nuuanu Avenue will be posted.

4) NUUANU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Lane closure on the Pali Highway (Route 61) in the Kailua-bound direction between the Pauoa Road underpass and Wylie Street overpass on Sunday night, Oct. 13, through Friday morning, Oct. 18, from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m., for the Pali Highway Resurfacing project. One lane will be tentatively closed from 3 a.m. to 5 a.m.

— KEAHUMOA PARKWAY —

1) KAPOLEI (24/7 ADJUSTMENT)

Shoulder lane closure on Keahumoa Parkway westbound between Kualakai Parkway and Maunakapu Street 24 hours a day, seven days a week for rail work. One or two lanes in both directions may be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

 — KALIHI STREET (ROUTE 63) —

1) KALIHI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Lane closure on Kalihi Street (Route 63) in both directions between Dillingham Boulevard and King Street on Friday night, Oct. 11, through Friday night, Oct. 18, for the Kalihi Street Resurfacing project. Sidewalk closures and detours will be in place at various locations throughout Kalihi Street, from Dillingham Boulevard to Ashford Street during the weekend work. Closure details are as follows:

  • Night work: Friday night, Oct. 11, and Monday night, Oct. 14, through Friday morning, Oct. 18, from 7 p.m. to 4:30 a.m., nightly.
  • Day work: Saturday, Oct. 12, and Sunday, Oct. 13, from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

 

KAUAI

— KAUMUALII HIGHWAY (ROUTE 50) —

1) HANAPEPE (24-HOUR CLOSURE)

The Hanapepe River Bridge on Kaumualii Highway (Route 50) between Puolo Road and Iona Road will be closed, and traffic will be shifted to the adjacent temporary bridge over a twenty-four-hour period, seven days a week. Speed limit is reduced to 25 mph.

 

MAUI  

— HANA HIGHWAY (ROUTES 36/360) —

1) HAIKU (24-HOUR WORK)

Lane closure on Hana Highway (Route 360) in the northbound direction in the vicinity of Papaaea Road on Saturday, Oct. 12, through Friday, Oct. 18, over a 24-hour period, for retaining wall work.

 

2) WAILUA (24-HOUR WORK)

Lane closure on Hana Highway (Route 36) in the southbound direction in the vicinity of Wailua Valley State Wayside Park on Friday, Oct. 11, through Friday, Oct. 18, over a 24-hour period, for utility installation work.

 

HAWAII ISLAND

— DANIEL K. INOUYE HIGHWAY (ROUTE 200) — 

1) NORTH HILO (24-HOUR CLOSURE)

Shoulders are closed on the Daniel K. Inouye Highway (Route 200) in both directions at the Mauna Kea Access Road intersection, 24-hours a day, 7 days a week. Exercise caution when traveling through the area. 

 

— QUEEN KAAHUMANU HIGHWAY (ROUTE 19) —

1) NORTH KONA (WEEKEND CLOSURE)

Closure of Queen Kaahumanu Highway (Route 19) and Akoni Pule Highway (Route 270) in both directions from 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12, through 1 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 13, for the Ironman Triathlon race.  Closure details are below.

  • Queen Kaahumanu Highway (Route 19)– All lanes closed in both directions between Palani Road and Kaiminani Drive from 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12, through 1 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 13. Motorists are advised to use Ane Keohokalole Highway as an alternate route. Access for Kohanaiki Subdivision residents will be allowed via Hina Lani Street and Hulikoa Drive. Motorists may access Kona International Airport via Kaiminani Drive.
  • Queen Kaahumanu Highway (Route 19)– All lanes closed in both directions between Kawaihae Road and Kaiminani Drive from 7 a.m. to 6:15 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 12. Access will be allowed for guests only to and from hotel resorts via Waikoloa Road and Kawaihae Road.
  • Akoni Pule Highway (Route 270)– All lanes closed in both directions between Kawaihae Road and Hawi Town from 8 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 12.

— MAUNA KEA ACCESS ROAD (ROUTE 210) —

1) NORTH HILO (24-HOUR CLOSURE)

Mauna Kea Access Road (Route 210) is closed in both directions at the Daniel K. Inouye Highway intersection, over a 24-hour period, 7 days a week.

LANAI

No weekend lane closures are currently scheduled on Lanai.

MOLOKAI

No weekend lane closures are currently scheduled on Molokai.
