OAHU

— H-1 FREEWAY —

1) PEARL CITY (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Up to three lanes closed on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction between the Kamehameha Highway Overpass and the Waiawa Road Overpass on Sunday night, August 2, through Friday morning, August 7, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m., nightly, for the rail project.

The number of lanes closed will vary depending on the location of the roadwork.

2) PEARL CITY TO WAIPAHU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Right lane closures on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between the Pearl City/Waimalu Off-Ramp (Exit 10) and the Waipahu Off-Ramp (Exit 8B) from 8 p.m. Saturday night, Aug. 1, through 6 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 2, for deck widening.

  • Three right lanes closed from 8 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 1, through 10 a.m., Sunday morning, Aug. 2.
  • Two right lanes closed Sunday, Aug. 2, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • One right lane closed Sunday, Aug. 2, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

3) SALT LAKE TO HONOLULU INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Two left lanes closed on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between the Keehi Interchange and the Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam Off-Ramp (Exit 15B) from 9 p.m. on Friday, July 31, through 12:01 a.m. Monday morning, Aug. 3. During this time, a shoulder lane will be open for use and all ramps will remain open.

Speed limits will be reduced to 15 mph in order to minimize traffic induced vibrations that may lead to cracking in the newly repaired deck. Airport Viaduct improvements include concrete deck replacements, expansion joint repairs, and pavement restriping. Work is located between the Pearl Harbor Interchange and the Keehi Interchange.

 

4) VILLAGE PARK (WEEKEND WORK)

Right lane closure on the Ewa Off-Ramp (Exit 5A) of the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction on Saturday, August 1, from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for electrical work.

 

5) WAIPAHU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK) Full closure of the Waipahu Off-Ramp (Exit 8B) from the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction on Sunday night, August 2, through Friday morning, August 7, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., nightly. For the rail project.

— H-2 FREEWAY —

1) MILILANI TO WAHIAWA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK) Lane closures on the H-2 Freeway in the southbound direction between the Mililani Off-Ramp (Exit 5) and the Ka Uka Boulevard Overpass on Sunday night, August 2, through Friday morning, August 7, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., nightly, for bridge joint repair.

  • One lane closed from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Two lanes closed from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m.
  • Three lanes closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

 

— FARRINGTON HIGHWAY —

1) PEARL CITY (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Two lanes closed on Farrington Highway in the westbound direction between Waiawa Road and the Kamehameha Highway Overpass on Sunday night, August 2, through Friday morning, August 7, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., nightly, for the rail project.

Full closure of the Farrington Highway eastbound on-ramp to the H-2 Freeway in the northbound direction on Sunday night, August 2, through Friday morning, August 7, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., nightly, for the rail project.

— KALANIANAOLE HIGHWAY —

1) WAIMANALO (WEEKEND WORK)

Lane closure on Kalanianaole Highway in the eastbound direction between Keolu Drive and Flamingo Street on Saturday, August 1, from 7 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for tree trimming.

 

— KAMEHAMEHA HIGHWAY —

1) KAAAWA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

24/7 lane closure on Kamehameha Highway in the northbound direction between Keo Place and Trout Farm Road for emergency shoreline improvements. Traffic will be contraflowed in the remaining open lane. Motorists are advised to expect delays.

 

2) PEARL CITY TO AIEA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Honolulu Rail Transit will be working on Kamehameha Highway this week at various locations.

  • 24/7 lane closures in both directions between Waiawa Road and Acacia Road.
  • 24/7 lane closures in both directions between Acacia Road and Waimano Home Road.
  • 24/7 lane closures in both directions between Lipoa Place and Pali Momi Street.
  • Lane closures in the westbound direction between Pali Momi Street and Honomanu Street, Monday through Friday.
  • Lane closures in both directions between Puu Poni Street and Kaonohi Street, Monday through Friday.
  • Lane closures in both directions between Salt Lake Boulevard and Honomanu Street, Monday through Friday.

— NIMITZ HIGHWAY —

1) HONOLULU (WEEKEND WORK)

Lane closure on Nimitz Highway in the westbound direction between Sand Island Access Road and Puuloa Road/Lagoon Drive on Saturday night, August 1, from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for electrical work.

 

2) SALT LAKE TO HONOLULU INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Two left lanes closed on Nimitz Highway in the westbound direction between Aolele Street and Elliott Street from 9 p.m. Friday, July 31, through 12:01 a.m. Monday morning, Aug. 3, as a safety precaution due to deck repairs happening above.

 

— MIDDLE STREET —

1) KALIHI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Alternating lane closure on Middle Street in the southbound direction between North King Street and Kamehameha Highway on Monday night, August 3, through Saturday morning, August 8, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m., nightly, for the Middle Street Pavement Reconstruction project.

There will also be a 24/7 southbound lane closure and sidewalk closure on the west side of Middle Street. Signage will be posted instructing pedestrians to use the east sidewalk.

 

 

KAUAI

— KAUMUALII HIGHWAY —

1) PUHI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure on Kaumualii Highway (Route 50) in both directions between Kipu Road and Kahili Road on Sunday night, August 2, through Friday morning, August 7, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., nightly, for road widening. Traffic will be contraflowed through the remaining open lane.  Motorists are advised to expect delays.


BIG ISLAND

No weekend lane closures are currently scheduled on Big Island.

 

MAUI

— OLD HALEAKALA HIGHWAY —

1) KAHULUI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

24-hour lane shifts on Old Haleakala Highway in both directions between Aalele Street and Kala Road on Friday, July 31, through Friday, August 7, for roadway construction. Motorists are advised to follow all traffic control signs and drive with caution through the work zone. Flaggers will be stationed at the site to direct motorists through the area.

 

LANAI
No weekend lane closures are currently scheduled on Lanai.

MOLOKAI
No weekend lane closures are currently scheduled on Molokai.
