Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting. This list is updated weekly on Thursday afternoons.

OAHU

— H-1 FREEWAY —

1) HONOLULU (24-HOUR WORK)

24-hour shoulder closure on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between the Pali Highway overpass and the Houghtailing Street underpass on Friday, April 19, through Friday, April 26, for guardrail and shoulder improvements.

 

2) HONOLULU (24-HOUR WORK)

24-hour shoulder closure on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction in the vicinity of the Liliha Street overpass on Friday, April 19, through Friday, April 26, for guardrail and shoulder improvements.

 

3) HONOLULU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)
Two right lanes closed on the H-1 Freeway in both directions on Sunday night, April 21, through Thursday morning, April 25, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., for guardrail and shoulder improvements. The School Street onramp to the H-1 Freeway westbound will be closed during this time. Motorists will be detoured via Palama Street and Vineyard Boulevard.

  • Lane closures in the eastbound direction are between Vineyard Boulevard offramp (Exit 20B) and the Liliha Street overpass.
  • Lane closures in the westbound direction are between the Palama Street overpass and the Liliha Street overpass.

 

4) HONOLULU (WEEKEND WORK)
Lane closure on the Airport offramp (Exit 16) from the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction on Saturday, April 20, from 5:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., for bridge maintenance.

 

5) HONOLULU (24-HOUR WORK)

Shoulder closure on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction in the vicinity of the Airport offramp (Exit 16) on Friday, April 19, through Friday, April 26, over a 24-hour period, for The Rail project.

6) WAIMALU TO AIEA (WEEKEND WORK)

Shoulder closure on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction between the Pearlridge/Waimalu offramp (Exit 10) and the Aiea Heights Drive overpass on Saturday, April 20, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., for shoulder widening work.

7) WAIMALU TO AIEA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Up to three lanes closed on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction between the Waiawa Interchange and the Aiea Heights Drive overpass from Friday, April 26, through Saturday morning, April 27, for shoulder widening work.

  • One right will be closed from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
  • Two right lanes will be closed from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
  • Three right lanes will be closed from 7:30 p.m. to 6 a.m.

— H-201 MOANALUA FREEWAY —

1) MOANALUA (WEEKEND WORK)

Lane closures on the H-201 Moanalua Freeway in the eastbound direction between the Ahua Street overpass and the Middle Street overpass, on Sunday, April 21, through Friday, April 26, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., for median work.

The Fort Shafter/King Street offramp will also be closed. Motorists wanting to access North King Street are advised to take the Airport/Tripler Hospital offramp (Exit 3) which will become North King Street.

 

— FARRINGTON HIGHWAY (ROUTES 93/930) —

1) MAKAHA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Closure of Farrington Highway (Route 93) in both directions between Upena Street and Kili Drive at the Makaha Bridge #3 on Saturday night, April 20, through Sunday morning, April 21, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., for bridge repairs. Motorists will be detoured in both directions via Makaha Valley Road, Ala Holo Loop, Huipu Drive, and Kili Drive.

 

— KALANIANAOLE HIGHWAY (ROUTES 61/72) —

1) AINA HAINA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Alternating lane closure on Kalanianaole Highway (Route 72) in both directions between West Hind Drive and Ainakoa Avenue on Sunday night, April 21, through Friday morning, April 26, from 8:30 p.m. to 3:30 a.m., for striping work and traffic signal work.

 

— KAMEHAMEHA HIGHWAY (ROUTES 80/83/99) —

1) PEARL CITY (24-HOUR WORK)
24/7 lane closure of Kamehameha Highway (Route 99) in the eastbound direction between Waihona Street and Acacia Road on Friday, April 19, through Friday, April 26, for The Rail project.

— NIMITZ HIGHWAY (ROUTE 92) —

1) HONOLULU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Roving alternating lane closure on Nimitz Highway in both directions between Rodgers Boulevard and Lagoon Drive on Friday night, April 19, through Saturday morning, April 20, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., for maintenance work.

 

2) HONOLULU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Two left lanes closed on Nimitz Highway (Route 92) in the westbound direction in the vicinity of Awa Street on Thursday night, April 25, through Friday morning, April 26, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., for sewer work.

 

3) KALIHI (WEEKEND WORK)

Right lane closure on Nimitz Highway (Route 92) in the eastbound direction between Waiakamilo Street and Alakawa Street on Saturday, April 20, from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m., for electrical maintenance work.

 

— PALI HIGHWAY (ROUTE 61) —

1) NUUANU TO KANEOHE (WEEKEND AND WEEKLY CLOSURE)
Closure of the Pali Highway (Route 61) in both directions between Waokanaka Street and Kamehameha Highway on Saturday, April 20, through Friday, April 26, over a 24-hour period, for slope stabilization work following the landslide. The Kailua-bound lanes will be temporarily open during the schedule below.

From Monday, April 22, through Friday, April 26:

  • Honolulu-bound traffic will be contraflowed in the Kailua-bound lanes between Saint Stephen’s Diocesan Center and Nuuanu Pali Drive from 5 a.m. and 9 a.m.
  • The Kailua-bound direction will be open from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

 

 

 

2) NUUANU (WEEKEND WORK)

Roving right lane closure on the Pali Highway (Route 61) in both directions in the vicinity of Waokanaka Street on Saturday, April 20, from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for maintenance work.

 

— KALAELOA BOULEVARD —

1) KAPOLEI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Lane closure on Kalaeloa Boulevard in the northbound direction between Kapolei Parkway and Farrington Highway on Sunday night, April 21, through Friday morning, April 26, from 8 p.m. to 4:30 a.m., for the Kapolei Interchange Complex Phase 2 project. Motorists wanting to access the westbound H-1 Freeway will be detoured via Kapolei Parkway, Kamokila Boulevard, and Wakea Street to the Farrington Highway onramp.

— SALT LAKE BOULEVARD —

1) HONOLULU (WEEKEND WORK)

Roving right lane and shoulder closure on Salt Lake Boulevard in both directions at the Puuloa Road intersection on Saturday, April 20, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., for maintenance work.

 

— KALIHI STREET (ROUTE 63) —

1) KALIHI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Two lanes closed on Kalihi Street (Route 63) in both directions between Nimitz Highway and Beckley Street on Sunday night, April 21, through Friday morning, April 26, from 7 p.m. to 4:30 a.m., for striping work.

 

— MAIN STREET —

1) PEARL HARBOR (24-HOUR WORK)

Right turn pocket closed on Main Street to Nimitz Highway in the eastbound direction on Friday, April 19, through Friday, April 26, over a twenty-four hour period, for The Rail project.

KAUAI

— KAUMUALII HIGHWAY (ROUTE 50) —

1) HANAPEPE (24/7 CLOSURE)

The Hanapepe River Bridge on Kaumualii Highway (Route 50) between Puolo Road and Iona Road will be closed, and traffic will be shifted to the adjacent temporary bridge over a twenty-four-hour period, seven days a week. Speed limit is reduced to 25 mph.

 

— KUHIO HIGHWAY (ROUTES 56/560) —

1) WAIKOKO TO WAINIHA (EMERGENCY WORK, LOCAL ACCESS BY CONVOY)
Limited access for local traffic on Kuhio Highway (Route 560) between Waikoko and Wainiha on Mondays through Saturdays from 5:50 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sundays and holidays from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., due to slope stabilization work. To view the limited access schedule, please click here.

Convoy will run on the Sunday/Holiday schedule on Good Friday, April 19, 2019 up to the 7 p.m. convoy from Wainiha to Hanalei. 2) KALIHIWAI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure of Kuhio Highway (Route 560) south of Kalihiwai Bridge on Sunday night, April 21, through Friday morning, April 25, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for CRM wall repairs.

 

3) KAPAA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) in both directions between Kuamoo Road and Kapaa Bypass Road on Sunday night, April 21, through Friday morning, April 25, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., for striping work.

 

4) LIHUE (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Alternating two-lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) in both directions between North Leho Drive and Kapule Highway on Sunday night, April 21, through Friday morning, April 26, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., for road reconstruction and repaving.

 

MAUI

HONOAPIILANI HIGHWAY (ROUTE 30)

1) MAALEA (24-HOUR WORK)

Lane shift on Honoapiilani Highway (Route 30) in both directions in the vicinity of mile marker 7.6 on Friday, April 19, through Friday, April 26, over a 24-hour period, for slope stabilization work.

 

KULANIHAKOI STREET

1) KIHEI (24-HOUR WORK)

Closure of Kulanihakoi Street in both directions between Piilani Highway and Mahealani Street, over a twenty-four hour period, 7 days a week, for sewer and water line work. Traffic will be directed to Kaonoulu Street and South Kihei Road as an alternate route.

 

HAWAII ISLAND

No weekend lane closures are currently scheduled on Hawaii Island.

LANAI

No weekend lane closures are currently scheduled on Lanai.

MOLOKAI

No weekend lane closures are currently scheduled on Molokai.
