OAHU

— H-1 FREEWAY —

1) AIEA TO PEARL CITY (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Nighttime closure of three right lanes on the H-1 eastbound between the Pearl City viaduct to the Aiea offramp on Saturday, August 24 on the following schedule for shoulder widening:

  • From 7 p.m. to 9 a.m. two right lanes will be closed.
  • From 8 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. a third right lane will be closed.
  • The shoulder will be closed for the entire length of the closure.

2) AIEA (WEEKEND WORK)

Shoulder closure on the H-1 eastbound between the Waimalu viaduct to the Aiea pedestrian overpass on Sunday, August 25 from 12 a.m. to 4 a.m. for shoulder widening.

3) HONOLULU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Nightly right lane closure on the H-1 eastbound between the Kapiolani Interchange and Ainakoa Avenue on Sunday, August 25 from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. for guardrail and shoulder improvements.

4) HONOLULU (24-HOUR WORK)

24/7 shoulder closures on the H-1 Freeway in the following locations for guardrail and shoulder improvements:

  • 100-foot shoulder closure on the H-1 westbound at the Aala Overpass
  • 200-foot shoulder closure on H-1 westbound at the Liliha Street Overpass
  • 200-foot shoulder closure on H-1 eastbound at the Liliha Street Overpass

5) HONOLULU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)
Lane and ramp closures on the H-1 Freeway near Palama for guardrail and shoulder improvements. Related closures are:

  • School Street onramp to the H-1 westbound to close nightly from Sunday, August 25 to Friday, August 30 from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. Motorists will be detoured
  • Two right lanes and shoulder lane on the H-1 westbound between the Punchbowl onramp and the Palama Street offramp will be closed nightly from Sunday, August 25 to Friday, August 30 from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m.
  • Two right lanes and shoulder lane on the H-1 eastbound between the Palama overpass and the Liliha Street onramp will be closed nightly from Sunday, August 25 to Friday, August 30 from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m.

6) SALT LAKE (WEEKEND WORK)

Shoulder closure on the H-1 Freeway eastbound at the Radford Pedestrian Overpass on Saturday, August 24 between 6 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. for tree trimming.

— H-201 MOANALUA FREEWAY —

1) FORT SHAFTER (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Right lane closure on the H-201 Moanalua Freeway in the westbound direction between the Airport/Hickam/Pearl Harbor offramp and the Fort Shafter offramp on Sunday, August 25 from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. for retaining wall utilities to support the Moanalua Freeway lighting improvements.

— PALI HIGHWAY (ROUTE 61) —

1) NUUANU TO KANEOHE (WEEKEND/WEEKLY CLOSURE)
Pali Highway (Route 61) is closed in both directions between Waokanaka Street and Kamehameha Highway for slope stabilization. Access to Pali Highway is available Sunday through Friday (no Saturday access) on the schedule below:

  • Honolulu-bound AM contraflow is open from 5 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
  • Kailua-bound access is open from 12:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

2) NUUANU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Nightly full closure of Pali Highway (Route 61) in the Honolulu-bound direction between the Wylie Street overpass and Pauoa Road offramp on Sunday night, August 25, through Friday morning, August 30, from 6:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m., for the Pali Highway Resurfacing project. After 2:30 a.m. all but one lane will open. The left lane may remain closed to 4 a.m. depending on traffic and work flow. Detour signs to Wylie Street and Nuuanu Avenue will be posted. 3) NUUANU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Nightly left lane closure on the Pali Highway (Route 61) in the Kailua-bound direction between the Pauoa Road underpass and Wylie Street overpass on Sunday night, August 25, through Friday morning, August 30, from 8:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m., for the Pali Highway Resurfacing project. Shoulder closure on Likelike Highway as crews repair the Kapunahala Pedestrian Overpass on Saturday, August 24, from 5 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

— KALIHI STREET (ROUTE 63) —

1) KALIHI (WEEKEND WORK)

Right lane closure and lane shift on Kalihi Street northbound between Dillingham Boulevard and King Street on Sunday, August 25 between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. for sidewalk demolition and construction. Sidewalks between Eluwne Street and Ashford Street will be closed as the work progresses.

— KALANIANAOLE HIGHWAY (ROUTE 72) —

1) HAWAII KAI TO MAKAPUU (WEEKEND WORK)

Roving work in the right shoulder of Kalanianaole Highway in both directions between Sandy Beach and Makapuu Lighthouse on Saturday, August 24 between 6 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. for tree trimming.

2) HAWAII KAI (WEEKEND WORK)

Roving work in the right lane of Kalanianaole Highway in both directions by East Hind Drive on Saturday, August 24 between 6:30 a.m. and 12 p.m. to replace ADA mats and attenuators.

3) WAIMANALO (WEEKEND WORK)

Roving work in the right lane and shoulder of Kalanianaole Highway in both directions between Inaole Street and Aloiloi Street on Saturday, August 24 between 6 a.m. and 1 p.m. for tree and grass trimming.

— KAMEHAMEHA HIGHWAY (ROUTES 80/83/99) —

Shoulder closure on Kamehameha Highway (Route 99) eastbound at the H-201 Moanalua Freeway offramp on Saturday, August 24 between 6 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. for tree trimming.

2) PEARL CITY (WEEKEND WORK)

Left lane closure on Kamehameha Highway (Route 99) westbound near Kuala Street (past Sam’s Club) on Saturday, August 24, from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for pothole repairs.

3) PEARL CITY (24/7 ADJUSTMENT)

  • From Tuesday, August 20, the right hand turn from westbound Kamehameha Highway onto Kuala Street may be closed between 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

4) PEARL CITY (24/7 ADJUSTMENT)

— ALA MOANA BOULEVARD (ROUTE 92) —

1) HONOLULU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Nightly right lane closure on Ala Moana Boulevard eastbound at the Atkinson Road intersection on Sunday, August 25, through Thursday, August 29 from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m., for City paving of Ala Moana Park Drive.

2) HONOLULU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Nightly right lane closure on Ala Moana Boulevard eastbound at the Kamakee Street intersection on Sunday, August 25, through Thursday, August 29 from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m., for City paving of Ala Moana Park Drive.

— NIMITZ HIGHWAY (ROUTE 92) —

1) HONOLULU (24/7 CLOSURE)

Closure of HOV ramp onto eastbound Nimitz Highway (Route 92) for safety buffer as HART’s contractor installs guideway shafts. The closure will end at 5 a.m. Monday, August 26.

2) HONOLULU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Nightly closure of the Dillingham offramp from the Nimitz Highway (Route 92) eastbound on Sunday, August 25, through Thursday, August 29, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., for concrete repairs.

— FARRINGTON HIGHWAY (ROUTES 93/930) —

1) KAPOLEI (WEEKEND WORK)

Lane closures on Farrington Highway (Route 93) eastbound near the Kalaeloa Boulevard offramp on Saturday, August 24, from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m., for electrical work.

2) NANAKULI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Nightly closures of two lanes on Farrington Highway between Hakimo Road and Lualei Place on Sunday, August 25 and Monday, August 26 from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. for installation of weigh-in-motion and traffic sensors. One lane in each direction will be maintained during the closure.

  • Sunday night: Two eastbound lanes will be closed with contraflow on the westbound side.
  • Monday night: Two westbound lanes will be closed with contraflow on the eastbound side.

3) NANAKULI TO WAIANAE (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Nightly closures on Farrington Highway in both directions between Maiuu Road and Hakimo Road on Sunday, August 25 through Thursday, August 30 from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. for striping of crosswalks and stop bars. One lane in each direction will be maintained during the closure.

KAUAI

— KAUMUALII HIGHWAY (ROUTE 50) —

1) HANAPEPE (24-HOUR CLOSURE)

The Hanapepe River Bridge on Kaumualii Highway (Route 50) between Puolo Road and Iona Road will be closed, and traffic will be shifted to the adjacent temporary bridge over a twenty-four-hour period, seven days a week. Speed limit is reduced to 25 mph.

 2) PUHI (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane and shoulder closure on Kaumualii Highway Waimea bound between Anonui Road and Kipu Road on Sunday, August 25 from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. for tree trimming.

MAUI  

 KULANIHAKOI STREET

1) KIHEI (24-HOUR WORK)

Closure of Kulanihakoi Street in both directions between Piilani Highway and Mahealani Street, over a twenty-four hour period, 7 days a week, for the Kihei High School Phase 1 project. Traffic will be directed to Kaonoulu Street and South Kihei Road as an alternate route.

HAWAII ISLAND

— DANIEL K. INOUYE HIGHWAY (ROUTE 200) — 

1) HILO (24-HOUR CLOSURE)

Shoulders are closed on the Daniel K. Inouye Highway (Route 200) in both directions at the Mauna Kea Access Road intersection, 24-hours a day, 7 days a week. Exercise caution when traveling through the area. 

— MAUNA KEA ACCESS ROAD (ROUTE 210) —

1) NORTH HILO (24-HOUR CLOSURE)

Mauna Kea Access Road (Route 210) is closed in both directions at the Daniel K. Inouye Highway intersection, over a 24-hour period, 7 days a week.

LANAI

No weekend lane closures are currently scheduled on Lanai.

MOLOKAI

No weekend lane closures are currently scheduled on Molokai.
