OAHU

— H-1 FREEWAY —

1) HONOLULU (WEEKEND WORK)

Shoulder closure on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between Ainakoa Avenue and Wilder Avenue Off-Ramp (Exit 24A) on Saturday, Aug. 27, from 5 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for maintenance work.

2) HONOLULU TO PEARL CITY (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Up to three lanes closed on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between the Pearl Harbor Interchange and the H-1/H-2 Split on Sunday night, Aug. 28, through Friday morning, Sept. 2, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., nightly, for restriping of the Zipper lane.

3) HONOLULU TO PEARL CITY (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Three left lanes closed on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between the Keehi Interchange and the H-1/H-2 Split on Sunday night, Aug. 28, through Friday morning, Sept. 2, for Zipper barrier replacements.

  • Lanes closed on Sunday night, Aug. 28, through Monday morning, Aug. 29, from 6 p.m. to 3 a.m.
  • Lanes closed on Monday night, Aug. 29, through Friday morning, Sept. 2, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m.

4) KALIHI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Left lane closure on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction between the Aiea Heights Drive Overpass and the Middle Street Overpass on Friday night, Aug. 26, from 9:30 p.m. to 3 a.m. for maintenance work.

5) PEARL CITY (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Up to four lanes closed on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between the Kaahumanu Street Overpass and the H-1/H-2 Split, for The Rail project.

  • Lanes will be closed on Friday night, Aug. 26, from 9:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.
  • Lanes will be closed on Saturday night Aug. 27, from 9:30 p.m. to 7 a.m.

1) MOANALUA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Alternating lane closures on the H-201 Moanalua Freeway in both directions between the Ala Kapuna Street Overpass and the Halawa Interchange on Monday night, Aug. 29, through Friday morning, Sept. 2, from 9 p.m. to 4:30 a.m., nightly, for maintenance work.

 

— FARRINGTON HIGHWAY —

1) WAIPAHU (WEEKEND WORK)

Left turn lane closed on Farrington Highway in the eastbound direction to the Kunia Road On-Ramp on Saturday, Aug. 27, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., for maintenance work.

 

— KAMEHAMEHA HIGHWAY —

1) HALAWA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Right lane closures on Kamehameha Highway in the westbound direction between Kohomua Street and Salt Lake Boulevard on Friday, Aug. 26, through Friday, Sept. 2, over a 24-hour period, for The Rail project.

2) KANEOHE (WEEKEND WORK)

Left turn lane closed on Kamehameha Highway to the Pali Golf Course on Saturday, Aug. 27, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., for maintenance work.

3) WAIPAHU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Alternating lane closure on Kamehameha Highway in both directions at the Waipio Uka Street intersection on Friday night, Aug. 26, from 9:30 p.m. to 3 a.m., for maintenance work.

 

— NIMITZ HIGHWAY —

1) HONOLULU (WEEKEND WORK)

Lane closure on Nimitz Highway in the westbound direction at the Catlin Drive intersection on Saturday, Aug. 27, from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for maintenance work.

 

— MIDDLE STREET —

1) KALIHI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Lane closures on Middle Street in both directions between North King Street and Kamehameha Highway on Friday night, Aug. 26, through Saturday morning, Aug. 27, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m., and on Monday night, Aug. 29, through Friday morning, Sept. 2, from 7 p.m. to 4 a.m., nightly, for the Middle Street Pavement Reconstruction project. Traffic will be contraflowed, and some turns may be restricted.

There may be a 24/7 lane closure in the northbound direction within the construction zone. Signage will be posted instructing pedestrians to use the east sidewalk.

 

— KUALAKAI PARKWAY —

1) KAPOLEI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Left lane closure on Kualakai Parkway in the southbound direction between Farrington Highway and the University of Hawaii West Oahu on Friday, Aug. 26, through Friday, Sept. 2, over a 24-hour period, for The Rail project.

KAUAI

— KAUMUALII HIGHWAY —

1) KALAHEO (WEEKEND WORK)

Lane closure on Kaumualii Highway in the eastbound direction between Hokua Road and Lauoho Road on Sunday, Aug. 28, from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. for tree trimming. Traffic will be contraflowed. Motorists are advised to expect delays.

2) KOLOA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Lane closure on Kaumualii Highway (Route 50) in both directions between Maluhia Road and Cane Road on Sunday night, Aug. 28, through Friday morning, Sept. 2, from 10 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., nightly, for resurfacing work. Motorists are advised to expect delays.

3) LAWAI (WEEKEND WORK)

Lane closure on Kaumualii Highway (Route 50) in the westbound direction between Upa Road and Piko Road on Sunday, Aug. 28, from 7 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. for tree trimming. Traffic will be contraflowed through the open lane. Motorists are advised to expect delays.

4) PUHI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure on Kaumualii Highway (Route 50) in both directions between Kipu Road and Kahili Road on Sunday night, Aug. 28, through Friday morning, Sept. 2, from 10 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., nightly, for road restriping. Traffic will be contra flowed through the remaining open lane. Motorists are advised to expect delays and drive with caution through the project zone.

5) WAIMEA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Lane closure on Kaumualii Highway (Route 50) in both directions between Waimea Canyon Drive and Waimea River Bridge on Sunday night, Aug. 28, through Friday morning, Sept. 2, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., nightly, for resurfacing work. Motorists are advised to expect delays.

 

— KUHIO HIGHWAY —

1) KILAUEA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Lane closure on Kuhio Highway in the southbound direction between Kapuna Road and South Koolau Road on Sunday night, Aug. 28, through Friday morning, Sept. 2, from 8:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., nightly, for resurfacing work.

 

— NAWILIWILI ROAD —

1) LIHUE (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Lane closures on Nawiliwili Road in the eastbound direction between Kaumualii Highway and Kanani Street on Friday, Aug. 26, through Friday, Sept. 2, twenty-four hours a day, for highway reconstruction work. Traffic will be contraflowed. Motorists are advised to expect delays.

 

MAUI

— HANA HIGHWAY —

1) HAIKU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

24/7 lane closure on Hana Highway in the vicinity of Mile Marker 13, on Friday, Aug. 26, through Friday, Sept. 2, for slope stabilization work. Traffic will be contraflowed through the open lane.

 

— KUIHELANI HIGHWAY —

1) KAHULUI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Right lane closure on Kuihelani Highway in the northbound direction between Honoapiilani Highway and Puunene Avenue on Friday, Aug. 26, through Friday, Sept. 2, over a 24-hour period, for paving work.

 

 

BIG ISLAND

— HAWAII BELT ROAD (ROUTE 19) —

1) HAKALAU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Alternating lane closures on Umauma Bridge in the vicinity of Hakalau (Route 19, Milepost 16) in both directions over a twenty-four hour period, seven days a week for bridge rehabilitation. Travel speed on Umauma Bridge is reduced to 20-mph, and vehicles that exceed statutory size-weight limits will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis upon application of their respective oversize-overweight vehicle permits. Maximum width for any vehicle with permit passing over the bridge is 12 feet.

 

 

LANAI
No weekend lane closures are currently scheduled on Lanai.

MOLOKAI
No weekend lane closures are currently scheduled on Molokai.
