OAHU

— H-1 FREEWAY —

1) PEARL CITY (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Up to four lanes closed on the H-1 Freeway in both directions between the Kamehameha Highway Overpass and the Waiawa Road Overpass on Sunday night, May 1, through Friday morning, May 6, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m., nightly, for the rail project.

The number of lanes closed will vary depending on the location of the roadwork.

2) WAIPAHU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK) Closure of the Waipahu Off-Ramp (Exit 8B) from the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction on Sunday night, May 1, through Friday morning, May 6, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., nightly, for the rail project.

— H-201 MOANALUA FREEWAY —

1) HALAWA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Partial closure of the H-201 Moanalua Freeway On-Ramp to Kamehameha Highway in the westbound direction on Friday, April 29, through Friday, May 6, over a 24-hour period for the rail project.

Closure of the eastbound Farrington Highway off-ramp to the northbound H-2 Freeway on Sunday night, May 1, through Friday morning, May 6, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., nightly, for the rail project.

Roving closure on Kalanianaole Highway in both directions between Poalima Street and Kealahou Street on Saturday, April 30, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for striping installations.

 

— KAMEHAMEHA HIGHWAY —

Lane closures on Kamehameha Highway in both directions between Kalaloa Street and Aiea Access Road on Sunday night, May 1, through Tuesday morning, May 3, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m., for The Rail project.

— NIMITZ HIGHWAY —

1) HONOLULU (WEEKEND WORK)

Lane closures on Nimitz Highway in the eastbound direction at the Valkenburgh Street Intersection on Saturday, April 30, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. for underground utility repairs.

— PALI HIGHWAY —

1) MAUNAWILI (WEEKEND WORK)

Right lane closure on the Pali Highway in the Honolulu-bound direction between Kamehameha Highway and the Pali Tunnel on Saturday, April 30, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. for maintenance work.

 

— LILIHA STREET —

1) HONOLULU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Two lanes closed on Liliha Street in the southbound direction between Vineyard Boulevard and North King Street from 9 a.m., on Friday, April 29, through 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 1, for roadway reconstruction. Traffic will be contraflowed to provide one travel lane in either direction. Left turns will be restricted at all intersections. Special duty police officers will assist with traffic flow.

 

— ALA MOANA BOULEVARD —

1) HONOLULU (WEEKEND WORK)

Lane closure on Ala Moana Boulevard in the westbound direction between Cooke Street and Punchbowl Street on Saturday, April 30, from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. for maintenance work.

—SALT LAKE BOULEVARD —

1) HALAWA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Closure of Salt Lake Boulevard in the eastbound direction between Kamehameha Highway and Kalaloa Street on Sunday night, May 1, through Friday morning, May 6, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m., nightly, for the rail project. Eastbound traffic will be detoured to Kalaloa Street.

— MIDDLE STREET —

1) KALIHI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Lane closures on Middle Street in both directions between North King Street and Kamehameha Highway on Friday night, April 29, through Saturday morning, April 30, and Monday night, May 2, through Saturday morning, May 7, from 7 p.m. to 4 a.m., nightly, for the Middle Street Pavement Reconstruction project. Traffic will be contraflowed, and some turns may be restricted.

There may be a 24/7 lane closure in the southbound direction within the construction zone. Signage will be posted instructing pedestrians to use the east sidewalk.

 

— KEAHUMOA STREET —

1) KAPOLEI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Alternating 24/7 lane closures of Keahumoa Street near the Kroc Center in both directions on Friday, April 29, through Friday, May 6, for the rail project.

KAUAI

— KAUMUALII HIGHWAY —

1) KALAHEO (WEEKEND WORK)

Lane closure on Kaumualii Highway in the eastbound direction between Hokua Road and Lauoho Road on Sunday, May 1, from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. for tree trimming. Traffic will be contraflowed. Motorists are advised to expect delays.

 

2) KOLOA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Lane closure on Kaumualii Highway (Route 50) in both directions between Maluhia Road and Cane Road on Sunday night, May 1, through Friday morning, May 6, from 10 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., nightly, for resurfacing work. Motorists are advised to expect delays.

 

3) LAWAI (WEEKEND WORK)

Lane closure on Kaumualii Highway (Route 50) in the westbound direction between Upa Road and Piko Road on Sunday, May 1, from 7 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. for tree trimming. Traffic will be contraflowed through the open lane. Motorists are advised to expect delays.

 

4) OMAO TO LAWAI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure on Kaumualii Highway (Route 50) in both directions between Maluhia Road and Koloa Road on Sunday night, May 1, through Friday morning, May 6, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., nightly, for road resurfacing. Traffic will be contraflowed through the remaining open lane. Motorists are advised to expect delays and drive with caution through the project zone.

 

— KUHIO HIGHWAY —

1) KILAUEA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Lane closure on Kuhio Highway in the southbound direction between Kapuna Road and South Koolau Road on Sunday night, May 1, through Friday morning, May 6, from 8:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., nightly, for resurfacing work.

 

— NAWILIWILI ROAD —

1) LIHUE (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Lane closures on Nawiliwili Road in the eastbound direction between Kaumualii Highway and Kanani Street on Friday, April 29, through Friday, May 6, twenty-four hours a day, for highway reconstruction work. Traffic will be contraflowed. Motorists are advised to expect delays.

 

2) LIHUE (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

All lanes closed on the west side of the Haleko Road and Nawiliwili Road Intersection on Friday, April 29, through Friday, May 6, twenty-four hours a day, for highway reconstruction work. Traffic will be detoured to Kalepa Street and Pikake Street during this time. Pikake Street and Kukui Grove Street intersections will be available to traffic for the Kukui Grove Shopping Center. Motorists are advised to expect delays.

 

3) LIHUE (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK) All lanes closed on the west side of the Kukui Grove Street and Nawiliwili Road Intersection on Friday, April 29, through Friday, May 6, twenty-four hours a day, for highway reconstruction work. Traffic will be detoured to Kalepa Street and Pikake Street during this time. Pikake Street and Haleko Road intersections will be available to traffic for the Kukui Grove Shopping Center. Motorists are advised to expect delays.

 

MAUI

— OLD HALEAKALA HIGHWAY —

1) KAHULUI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

24-hour lane shifts on Old Haleakala Highway in both directions between Aalele Street and Kala Road on Friday, April 29, through Friday, May 6, for roadway construction. Motorists are advised to follow all traffic control signs and drive with caution through the work zone. Flaggers will be stationed at the site to direct motorists through the area.

 

— HANA HIGHWAY —

1) HAIKU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Left lane closure on Hana Highway in the eastbound direction between the Garden of Eden Arboretum and Keanae Road on Friday, April 29, through Friday, May 6, over a 24-hour period, for roadway improvements.

 

BIG ISLAND

— HAWAII BELT ROAD (ROUTE 19) —

1) HAKALAU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Alternating lane closures on Umauma Bridge in the vicinity of Hakalau (Route 19, Milepost 16) in both directions over a twenty-four hour period, seven days a week for bridge rehabilitation. Travel speed on Umauma Bridge is reduced to 20-mph, and vehicles that exceed statutory size-weight limits will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis upon application of their respective oversize-overweight vehicle permits. Maximum width for any vehicle with permit passing over the bridge is 12 feet.

 

— KEAAU-PAHOA ROAD —

1) PAHOA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

24-hour detour on the Keaau-Pahoa Bypass Road in both directions between Pahoa Market Place and Kahakai Boulevard beginning Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2015 through May 2016, for the construction of the Pahoa Roundabout. Temporary traffic signals will be installed to direct traffic at the Kahakai Boulevard/Pahoa Village Road intersection. Motorists are advised to drive through the detour with caution.

 

LANAI
No weekend lane closures are currently scheduled on Lanai.

MOLOKAI
No weekend lane closures are currently scheduled on Molokai.
