For the weekend of Friday, Aug. 17, to Sunday, Aug. 19

PLEASE NOTE:

Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting. This list is updated weekly on Thursday afternoons.

OAHU  

— H-1 FREEWAY —

1) HONOLULU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

24-hour shoulder closure on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between the Queen Emma Street overpass and the Nuuanu Avenue overpass on Friday, Aug. 17, through Friday, Aug. 24, for guardrail and shoulder improvements.

 

2) HONOLULU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

24-hour shoulder closure on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction between the Kalihi Street overpass and the Liliha Street overpass on Friday, Aug. 17, through Friday, Aug. 24, for guardrail and shoulder improvements.

 

3) HONOLULU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)
Two right lanes closed on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between the Vineyard Boulevard offramp (Exit 22) and the School Street offramp (Exit 21A) on Sunday night, Aug. 19, through Friday morning, Aug. 24, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., for guardrail and shoulder improvements. The westbound Punchbowl Street onramp will be closed during this time. Traffic will be detoured.

 

5) PEARL CITY (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Up to three lanes closed on the H-1 Freeway in both directions between the H-1/H-2 merge and the Aiea Heights Drive overpass on Thursday night, Aug. 16, through Sunday morning, Aug. 19, for pavement work. Follow traffic control signs for usage of shoulder lanes.

Thursday night

  • Eastbound: Two lanes close at 6:30 p.m. Three lanes close at 7:30 p.m. All lanes reopen at 4 a.m.
  • Westbound: Two lanes close at 8 p.m. Three lanes close at 9 p.m. All lanes reopen at 3 a.m.

Friday night

  • Eastbound: Two lanes close at 6:30 p.m. Three lanes close at 7:30 p.m. All lanes reopen at 6:30 a.m.
  • Westbound: Two lanes close at 7:30 p.m. Three lanes close at 9 p.m. All lanes reopen at 12:30 p.m.

Saturday night

  • Eastbound: Two lanes close at 7 p.m. Three lanes close at 8 p.m. All lanes reopen at 9 a.m.
  • Westbound: Two lanes close at 6 p.m. Three lanes close at 9 p.m. All lanes reopen at 12:30 p.m.

— FARRINGTON HIGHWAY —

1) NANAKULI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Lane closure on Farrington Highway in both directions between Helelua Street and Hakimo Road on Sunday night, Aug. 19, through Friday morning, Aug. 24, from 9 p.m. to 3:30 a.m., for road striping.

 

— KAMEHAMEHA HIGHWAY —

1) MILILANI (EMERGENCY WORK)

Full closure of Kamehameha Highway in both directions between Ka Uka Boulevard and Lanikuhana Avenue for emergency concrete repairs to the main support of the Kipapa Stream (Roosevelt) Bridge from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19.

 

— PALI HIGHWAY —

1) KANEOHE TO NUUANU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Closure of the Pali Highway in the Honolulu-bound direction between Kamehameha Highway to Waokanaka Street on Sunday night, Aug. 19, through Friday morning, Aug. 24, from 8:30 p.m. to 5 a.m., for the Pali Highway Resurfacing project.

Up to two lanes tentatively closed on the Pali Highway in the Honolulu-bound direction between Waokanaka Street and Nuuanu Avenue on Sunday night, Aug. 19, through Friday morning, Aug. 24, from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m., for the Pali Highway Resurfacing project.

Up to two lanes tentatively closed on the Pali Highway in Kailua-bound direction between Nuuanu Avenue and Waokanaka Street on Sunday night, Aug. 19, through Friday morning, Aug. 24, for the Pali Highway Resurfacing project.

  • One lane closed from 6:45 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Two lanes closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

— MIDDLE STREET —

1) KALIHI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Lane closures on Middle Street in both directions between North King Street and Kamehameha Highway on Friday night, Aug. 17, through Saturday morning, Aug. 18, and on Monday night, Aug. 20, through Friday morning, Aug. 24, from 7 p.m. to 4 a.m., for the Middle Street Pavement Reconstruction project. Traffic will be contraflowed, and some turns may be restricted.

Pedestrians are directed to use the east sidewalk as the west shared use walk and bike path is closed.

 

KAUAI

— KAUMUALII HIGHWAY —

1) HANAPEPE (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

— KUHIO HIGHWAY —

1) WAIKOKO TO WAINIHA (WEEKEND WORK)
Limited access for local traffic on Kuhio Highway between Waikoko and Wainiha on Saturday from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sundays from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., due to emergency flood repairs. BIG ISLAND

— BAY FRONT HIGHWAY/HAWAII BELT ROAD (ROUTE 19) —

1) SOUTH HILO (WEEKEND WORK)
Lane closure on Bay Front Highway/Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) in both directions, with alternating traffic control between Mile Marker 2.7 to 3.7 in the vicinity of Wailuku Bridge on Saturday, Aug. 18 and Sunday, Aug. 19, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., for paving work.

— MAMALAHOA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 11) —

1) KAU (WORK WAS CANCELED DUE TO EQUIPMENT AVAILABILITY)

Lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) in both directions, with alternating traffic between Mile Marker 70 and 75.5 in the vicinity of Manuka on Saturday, Aug. 18 and Sunday, Aug. 19, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., for pavement striping.

 

2) KAU (WEEKEND WORK)

Lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) in both directions, with alternating traffic between Mile Marker 79 and 80.7 in the vicinity of Manuka on Friday, Aug. 17, through Sunday, Aug. 19, from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., for pavement reconstruction.

 

MAUI

No weekend lane closures are currently scheduled on Maui.

LANAI

No weekend lane closures are currently scheduled on Lanai.

MOLOKAI

No weekend lane closures are currently scheduled on Molokai.
