OAHU

— H-1 FREEWAY —

1) KALIHI TO KAHALA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Lane closures on the H-1 Freeway in both directions between the Middle Street Overpass and Ainakoa Avenue on Friday night, Feb. 12, through Saturday morning, Feb. 13, from 8:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. for overhead sign replacements.

 

2) PEARL CITY (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Up to three lanes closed on the H-1 Freeway in both directions between the Kamehameha Highway Overpass and the Waiawa Road Overpass on Sunday night, Feb. 14, through Friday morning, Feb. 19, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m., nightly, for the rail project.

The number of lanes closed will vary depending on the location of the roadwork.

3) WAIPAHU (NIGHT WORK)

Closure of the Waipahu Off-Ramp (Exit 8B) from the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction on Sunday night, Feb. 14, through Friday morning, Feb. 19, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., nightly, for the rail project.

 — FARRINGTON HIGHWAY —

1) PEARL CITY (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Closure of the Farrington Highway eastbound off-ramp to the northbound H-2 Freeway on Sunday night, Feb. 14, through Friday morning, Feb. 19, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., nightly, for the rail project.

 — KAMEHAMEHA HIGHWAY —

1) KAAAWA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

24-hour lane closure on Kamehameha Highway in the northbound direction between Kaaawa Valley Road and Kaaawa Place starting Thursday, Feb. 11, through Tuesday, Feb. 16, or until further notice due to erosion caused by high surf. Traffic will be contraflowed through the remaining open lane. Motorists are urged to drive with caution through the area.

 

2) PEARL CITY TO AIEA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Honolulu Rail Transit will be working on Kamehameha Highway this week at various locations.

  • 24/7 lane closures in both directions between Waiawa Road and Kaonohi Street.
  • Lane closures in both directions at the Acacia Road Intersection.
  • 24/7 lane closures in both directions between Pali Momi Street and Honomanu Street.
  • Lane closure in the westbound direction between Lipoa Place and Pali Momi Street.
  • Lane closures in the eastbound direction between Honomanu Street and Salt Lake Boulevard, Monday through Friday.

— MIDDLE STREET —

1) KALIHI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Alternating lane closure on Middle Street in both directions between North King Street and Kamehameha Highway on Friday night, Feb. 12, through Saturday morning, Feb. 13, and Tuesday night, Feb. 16, through Saturday morning, Feb. 20, from 7 p.m. to 4 a.m., nightly, for the Middle Street Pavement Reconstruction project.

There will also be a 24/7 southbound median lane closure and sidewalk closure on the west side of Middle Street. Signage will be posted instructing pedestrians to use the east sidewalk.

 

 — KUNIA ROAD —

1) VILLAGE PARK (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Shoulder closure on Kunia Road in both directions between the H-1 Freeway Overpass and Anonui Street on Friday night, Feb. 12, through Saturday morning, Feb. 13, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for street light replacements.

 

KAUAI

— NAWILIWILI ROAD —

1) LIHUE (WEEKEND WORK)

24/7 single lane closure on Nawiliwili Road in both directions between Kaumualii Highway and Kanani Street on Friday, Feb. 12, through Thursday, Feb. 18, for highway reconstruction work.  Motorists are advised to expect delays.

 

 — PIKAKE STREET —

1) LIHUE (WEEKEND WORK)

All lanes closed in both directions on Pikake Street at the Nawiliwili Road Intersection for access to the Pua Loke Subdivision on Friday, Feb. 12, through Thursday, Feb. 18, twenty-four hours a day, for highway reconstruction work. Motorists are advised to expect delays.

 

 

MAUI

— OLD HALEAKALA HIGHWAY —

1) KAHULUI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

24-hour lane shifts on Old Haleakala Highway in both directions between Aalele Street and Kala Road on Friday, Feb. 12, through Friday, Feb. 19, for roadway construction. Motorists are advised to follow all traffic control signs and drive with caution through the work zone. Flaggers will be stationed at the site to direct motorists through the area.

 

2) KULA (WEEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

24/7 lane closures on Old Haleakala Highway in both directions at the intersection of Kula Highway (Route 37) on Friday, Feb. 12, through Friday, Feb. 19, for sidewalk improvement work.

 

 —HANA HIGHWAY—

1) HAIKU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

24/7 left lane closure on Hana Highway in the eastbound direction between the Garden of Eden Arboretum and Keanae Road. Working hours are Tuesday, Feb. 16, through Friday, Feb. 19, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., daily, for roadway improvements.

 

 — KUIHELANI HIGHWAY —

1) KAHULUI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Left lane closure on Kuihelani Highway in the northbound direction between Honoapiilani Highway and Puunene Avenue in the vicinity of Maui Lani Parkway on Friday, Feb. 12, through Friday, Feb. 19, over a 24-hour period for paving work.

 

 

BIG ISLAND

— HAWAII BELT ROAD (ROUTE 19) —

1) HAKALAU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Alternating lane closures on Umauma Bridge in the vicinity of Hakalau (Route 19, Milepost 16) in both directions over a twenty-four hour period, seven days a week for bridge rehabilitation. Travel speed on Umauma Bridge is reduced to 20-mph, and vehicles that exceed statutory size-weight limits will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis upon application of their respective oversize-overweight vehicle permits. Maximum width for any vehicle with permit passing over the bridge is 12 feet.

 

2) HAKALAU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Alternating lane closures on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) at Milepost 15 in both directions over a twenty-four hour period, seven days a week for road reconstruction. Travel speed is reduced to 25-mph.

 

 — KEAAU-PAHOA ROAD —

1) PAHOA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

24-hour detour on the Keaau-Pahoa Bypass Road in both directions between Pahoa Market Place and Kahakai Boulevard beginning Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2015 through May 2016, for the construction of the Pahoa Roundabout. Temporary traffic signals will be installed to direct traffic at the Kahakai Boulevard/Pahoa Village Road intersection. Motorists are advised to drive through the detour with caution.

 

 

LANAI
No weekend lane closures are currently scheduled on Lanai.

MOLOKAI
No weekend lane closures are currently scheduled on Molokai.
