Continuous weekend lane closures on the H-2 Freeway rescheduled

HONOLULU – The Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) alerts the public that a previously scheduled two lane closure on the northbound H-2 Freeway between the Ka Uka Boulevard Overpass and the Kipapa Bridge has been cancelled due to forecasted weather conditions. The continuous closure had been scheduled from Friday, Sept. 16, 2016 through Sunday, Sept. 18, 2016.
The continuous closure for roadway reconstruction is now scheduled for the weekend of Oct. 7-9, 2016. A reminder will be sent prior to the planned closure and electronic message boards will be placed in the area in advance of the weekend closure to alert drivers of the work. All roadwork is weather permitting.
