MAUI LANE CLOSURES

FOR THE WEEK OF AUG. 25 – 30

PLEASE NOTE:

Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice.
All projects are weather permitting.

— HONOAPIILANI HIGHWAY (ROUTE 30) —

1) LAHAINA

Single right lane closures on Honoapiilani Highway (Route 30) between Aholo Road and Lahainaluna Road Thursday, August 29 from 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. for maintenance and landscaping.

2) OLOWALU/MAALAEA (DAY AND NIGHT WORK)

Lane shifts and shoulder work on Honoapiilani Highway (Route 30) between the Windmill Farm and Papalaua Beach Park Monday, August 26 through Friday, August 30 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for warning sign installations.

3) WAIKAPU/MAALAEA

Lane shift on Honoapiilani Highway (Route 30) between the Maui Tropical Plantation and the King Kamehameha Golf Course on Wednesday, August 28 through Friday, August 30 from 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. for tree trimming and tree removal, if necessary.

— HANA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 36) —

1) PAIA/HAIKU

Alternating single lane closures on Hana Highway (Route 36) between Hookipa Park and Kaupakalua Road on Monday, August 26 through Friday, August 30 from 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. for resurfacing and guardrail placement.

— MAUI VETERANS/MOKULELE HIGHWAY (ROUTE 311) —

1) KAHULUI DISTRICT

Single lane closure on Maui Veterans Highway (Route 360, formerly Mokulele Highway) at Mile Marker 6 Monday, August 26 through Friday, August 30 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for guardrail repairs.

— HANA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 360) —

1) HAIKU

Single lane closure on Hana Highway (Route 360) between Kaupakalua Road and Kalo Road Monday, August 26 through Friday, August 30 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for guardrail repairs.

2) HUELO

Closure of the Haiku bound lane on Hana Highway (Route 360) between Mile Marker 8.1 and 8.2 east of the Papaaea Road intersection with Hana Highway on Monday, August 26 through Friday, August 30 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for drain outlet excavation and reinforcement.

2) HALFWAY TO HANA

Intermittent full closures of Hana Highway (Route 360) at Mile Marker 15.8 (between Campground Road and the Keanae Arboretum) for slope stabilization to include drilling, installation/grouting of soil nails, and installation of reinforcing steel. The intermittent closures will last between 15-30 minutes and should be expected Monday, August 26 through Friday, August 30 between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.

3) WAILUA STATE WAYSIDE (24 HOUR CLOSURE)

24/7 closure of the Haiku bound lane on Hana Highway (Route 360) at Mile Marker 19 (near Wailua Road) for slope stabilization to include soil nail installation and preparation for shotcrete.

4) HANA (NIGHT WORK)

Nightly full closures of Hana Highway (Route 360) between Mile Marker 21.7 and 28.2 for geotechnical borings of the Kopiliula Stream Bridge, the Ulaino Stream Bridge, and the Mokulehua Stream bridge on Monday, August 26 through Thursday, August 29 from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. (the last closure for the week will end at 4 a.m. Friday, August 30). — KUIHEILANI HIGHWAY (ROUTE 380) —

1) PUUNENE (NIGHT WORK)

Nightly closure of one lane at a time on Kuiheilani Highway at the Puunene Avenue intersection Monday, August 26 though Thursday, August 29 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. (last closure for the week to end at 5 a.m. on Friday, August 30). — WAIEHU BEACH ROAD (ROUTE 3400) —

1) WAIEHU

Single lane closure on Waiehu Beach Road at the Kahekili Highway intersection Monday, August 26 through Friday, August 30 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for guardrail repairs.

— KULANIHAKOI STREET —

1) KIHEI (24-HOUR WORK)

Closure of Kulanihakoi Street in both directions between Piilani Highway and Mahealani Street, over a twenty-four hour period, 7 days a week, for the Kihei High School Phase 1 project. Traffic will be directed to Kaonoulu Street and South Kihei Road as an alternate route.
