Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.

 No road closures will be scheduled on Thursday, November 27, in observance of Thanksgiving Holiday

— H-1 FREEWAY —

1) KALIHI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Full and partial weeknight closures of the H-1 Freeway are scheduled from Wednesday night, November 12, through Wednesday morning, November 26, for remedial pavement resurfacing in the Kalihi area. The closures will be scheduled as follows:

WESTBOUND

Sunday – Monday: Full closures in the westbound direction from the Kalihi Street Overpass to the Middle Street Overpass on Sunday night, November 23, through Monday morning, November 24, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Westbound H-1 traffic will be detoured to the Palama Street off-ramp (Exit 20C) or the Houghtailing Street off-ramp (Exit 20B). The Likelike Highway Off-Ramp (Exit 20A) and Halona Street On-Ramp will be closed Traffic should use surface routes like N. King Street or N. School Street/Middle Street and can re-enter the H-201 westbound at the Fort Shafter on-ramp. H-1 motorists wishing to access the Airport Viaduct are advised to turn left onto School Street, continue on Middle Street over the freeway, to the Airport Viaduct on-ramp at the Kamehameha Highway intersection.

H1-Kalihi-Full-Night-Closures-WB-Detours-Sunday

Monday – Tuesday: Full closures in the westbound direction between the Vineyard Boulevard off-ramp (Exit 22) to the School Street on-ramp on Monday, November 24 to Tuesday, November 25 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Westbound traffic will be detoured off the H-1 at the Vineyard Boulevard off-ramp and are advised to use Vineyard Boulevard to re-enter the H-1 using the on-ramps at School Street or Halona Street.The westbound Punchbowl Street tunnel access to H-1 and Pali Highway will be closed, in addition to the westbound H-1 Pali Highway off-ramp (Exit 21B). Motorists must access Pali Highway using surface routes on Vineyard Boulevard.

H1-Kalihi-Full-Night-Closures-WB-Detours-Monday

All pavement resurfacing is weather-permitting. Should nighttime rains force delays, revised schedule details will be made public as soon as possible.

2) HONOLULU (NIGHT WORK)

Multiple lane closures on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction between the Pali Highway Overpass and the King Street Off-Ramp (Exit 25A) on Monday, November 24, through Wednesday, November 26, from 9 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. for pavement marking installations.

3) WAIMALU TO WAIPAHU

Right lane closed on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between the Pearl City/Waimalu Off-Ramp (Exit 10) and the H-1/H-2 Split on Monday, November 24, through Wednesday, November 26, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for road widening and utility installations.

4) PEARL CITY TO WAIPAHU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Partial ramp closures at the H-1/H-2 Interchange on the H-1 Freeway, eastbound, on the Mililani/Wahiawa Off-Ramp (Exit 8B) and on the H-2 Freeway, southbound, on the Waianae Off-Ramp (Exit 1B) on Sunday, November 23, and Monday, November 24, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for bridge joint repair work.

5) KAHALA

Waialae Avenue On-Ramp to the H-1 Freeway closed in the eastbound direction between the 16TH Avenue Overpass and Kalanianaole Highway on Monday, November 24, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., for guardrail repairs. Traffic will stay on Waialae Avenue then head back onto Kalanianaole Highway.

6) SALT LAKE TO HONOLULU INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Two right lanes closed on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between the Airport Off-Ramp (Exit 16) and the Hickam Off-Ramp (Exit 15B) from 6 p.m., on Saturday night, November 22, through 12 a.m. on Monday morning, November 24. The Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam off-ramp (Exit 15B) will be closed. Detours will be established to allow access to Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam at all times.

Airport Viaduct improvements include concrete deck replacements, expansion joint repairs, and pavement restriping. Work is located between the Pearl Harbor Interchange and the Keehi Interchange.

7) HONOLULU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Right lane closures on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction from the Punahou Off-Ramp (Exit 23) to the Bigham Street Off-Ramp (Exit 24A) and in the westbound direction from the University On-Ramp to the Wilder Off-Ramp (Exit 24A) on Saturday, November 22, from 2 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. for roadside maintenance.

8) HALAWA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Lane closures on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction between the Kaamilo Street Overpass and the Aiea/Honolulu Off-Ramp (Exit 13A) on Sunday, November 23, to Wednesday morning, November 26, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., for sign maintenance.

 

— H-2 FREEWAY —

1) WAIPIO

Left lane closure on the H-2 Freeway in the northbound direction between the Ka Uka Boulevard Off-Ramp (Exit 2) and the Mililani Mauka Off-Ramp (Exit 5A) on Monday, November 24, through Wednesday, November 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for utility installations.

 

— H-201 MOANALUA FREEWAY —

1) HALAWA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK) 

Right lane closure on the H201 Moanalua Freeway in the eastbound direction between Kamehameha Highway and the Halawa Heights/Halawa Valley/Stadium Off-Ramp (Exit 1B), on Sunday Night, November 23 through Wednesday morning, November 26, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. for sign maintenance.

— H-3 FREEWAY —

1) HALAWA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Left lane closure on the H-3 Freeway in the southbound direction between the Stadium/Halawa/Camp Smith Off Rap (Exit 1C) and the H-1 Freeway On-Ramp on Sunday night, November 23, through Wednesday morning, November 26, from 9 p.m. to 4:30 a.m., for sign maintenance.

— KALANIANAOLE HIGHWAY —

1) HAWAII KAI

Two lanes closed on Kalanianaole Highway in the westbound direction between Hawaii Kai Drive and Elelupe Road on Monday, November 24, through Wednesday, November 26, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., for cold planing and resurfacing as part of the Kalanianaole Highway Resurfacing project.

Left Turns allowed at Hawaii Kai Drive and Keahole St. No left turns into Kuliouou Road and Kawaihae Street. U-turns to head back eastbound will be allowed at Paiko Drive. Police will be stationed throughout the contra-flow section to help direct traffic.

2) WAIMANALO

Lane closure on Kalanianaole Highway in the southbound direction between Flamingo Street and Humuniki Street on Tuesday, November 25, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for utility installations.

 

— KAMEHAMEHA HIGHWAY —

1) KUALOA TO WAIAHOLE (WEEKEND WORK)

Lane closure on Kamehameha Highway in the southbound direction between Kualoa and Waikane Valley Road on Saturday, November 23, from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., for tree trimming.

2) PEARL HARBOR

Right lane closure on Kamehameha Highway in the southbound direction between Salt Lake Boulevard and Arizona Street on Monday, November 24, through Friday, November 28, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for tree trimming. No road work on Thursday, November 25, for Thanksgiving Holiday.

3) MILILANI

Partial closures on Kamehameha Highway in both directions between Ka Uka Boulevard and Waihau Street on Monday, November 24, through Wednesday, November 26 and Friday, November 28, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for utility installations, sidewalk repairs and road resurfacing.

Motorists are advised to expect traffic delays and use alternate roadways such as Kuahelani Avenue, Meheula Parkway, Lanikuhana Avenue, Ka Uka Boulevard and H-2 freeway.

4) MILILANI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Full road closure on Kamehameha Highway in both directions between Ka Uka Boulevard and Lanikuhana Avenue on Sunday night, November 23, through Wednesday morning, November 26, from 8:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. for road reconstruction, resurfacing and installation of striping and markers.

General traffic will be re-routed to H-2 freeway but local traffic access for Kipapa Gulch residents has been coordinated to be escorted through the project site as needed. Advisory message boards have been placed near Ka Uka Boulevard and Lanikuhana Avenue with the work schedule.

5) WAHIAWA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Lane closure on Kamehameha Highway in both directions between Paalaa Uka Road and Kamananui Road on Sunday, Novemeber 23, through Wednesday, November 26, from 9 p.m. to 4:30 a.m., daily, for road marking installations.

 

— NIMITZ HIGHWAY —

1) HONOLULU

Lane closure on Nimitz Highway in both directions between Sumner Street and Alakawa Street on Wednesday, November 26, through Friday, November 28, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for utility repairs.

2) HONOLULU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Lane closures on Nimitz Highway in both directions between O’Malley Street and Valkenburgh Street on Sunday night, November 23, through Wednesday morning, November 26, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., for sign maintenance.

3) HONOLULU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Two left lanes closed on Nimitz Highway in the westbound direction between Valkenburgh Street and Elliot Street and a partial closure of Valkenburgh intersection from 6 p.m. Saturday night, November 22, through midnight, Monday morning, November 24, as a safety precaution due to deck repairs happening above.

Detours will be provided to allow safe passage around the Valkenburgh Street intersection.

4) HONOLULU

Lane closure on Nimitz Highway in both directions between Smith Street and Bishop Street on Wednesday, November 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily, for tree trimming.

 

— VINEYARD BOULEVARD —

1) HONOLULU

Alternating single lane closures on Vineyard Boulevard in the eastbound direction between Olomea Street and Miller Street on Monday, November 24, through Wednesday, November 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., for utility and irrigation installations, and to reconstruct left turn lanes.

Motorists are advised to expect traffic delays and to use the H-1 Freeway, Beretania Street (westbound) and King Street (eastbound) as alternate routes.

 

2) HONOLULU

Lane closures on Vineyard Boulevard in the eastbound direction at the Liliha Street intersection between Pua Lane and Aala Street on Wednesday, November 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for sewer rehabilitation work.

 

— KANEOHE BAY DRIVE —

1) KANEOHE

Single lane closure on Kaneohe Bay Drive in both directions between Kamehameha Highway and Nanamoana Street on Monday, November 24, through Friday, November 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the Kaneohe Bay Drive Rehabilitation Project.

 

— KAMANANUI ROAD —

1) WAHIAWA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Full road closure on Kamananui Road in both directions between Kamehameha Highway and Wilikina Drive on Sunday, November 23, through Wednesday, November 26, from 9 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. for road marking installations.

 

— SAND ISLAND ACCESS ROAD —

1) PEARL HARBOR

Lane closures on Sand Island Access Road in both directions between Hoonee Place and Makepono Street on Monday, November 24, through Friday, November 28, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, for tree trimming. No road work on Thursday, November 25, for Thanksgiving Holiday.

— KUNIA ROAD —

1) KUNIA CAMP TO VILLAGE PARK

 

Alternating lane closure on Kunia Road in both directions between Anonui Street and Kunia Drive on Monday, November 24, through Wednesday, November 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. daily, for utility installations.
