HONOLULU- The Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) advises Oahu motorists that modifications to the Kunia Road and Anonui Street intersection are complete. Improvements include dedicated left turn lanes, a widened roadway, new traffic signals and lane modifications to improve traffic flow through the intersection. Activation of the modified traffic signals and opening of the intersection improvements is scheduled for May 21, 2015 at 10 a.m.

Westbound turns from Kunia Road onto Anonui Street are for plantation workers only as this turn does not connect to a through street. Electronic message boards have been placed along the route to notify drivers of the changes. Motorists are advised to use caution and proceed slowly through the area while adjusting to the changes.
