PLEASE NOTE: 

The Holiday Lane Closure Restriction runs from Monday, Dec. 23, through Saturday, Jan. 5. Only closures with demonstrated need (e.g., necessary for safety or to avoid lengthy construction delays) have been approved and are on this list. There will be no lane closures on Wednesday, Dec. 25 in observance of Christmas Day.

— H-1 FREEWAY — 

1) KAPOLEI (WEEKEND/ NIGHT WORK) 

Right lane closure on the H-1 Freeway, in the westbound direction, in the vicinity of Kalaeloa Boulevard and the Kapolei/ Makakilo off-ramp (Exit 2), on Saturday, Dec. 21, from 3 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for grass trimming, litter removal and scrapping.  

 

2) KALIHI (24 HOUR CLOSURE) 

Right shoulder closure on the H-1 Freeway, in the eastbound direction, in the vicinity of the Kaua Street and Richard Lane, 24-hours a day, 7-days a week as part of the H-1 Freeway Widening. For more information, visit the project website: https://h1widening.com/.  

 

— H-3 FREEWAY — 

1) KANEOHE (WEEKEND/ NIGHT WORK) 

Left lane closure on the H-3 Freeway, in the Kaneohe-bound direction, in the vicinity of the Hospital Rock Tunnels and the Harano Tunnels, on Saturday, Dec. 21, from 2 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. for repairs to the steel plate welds. 

 

— FARRINGTON HIGHWAY (ROUTES 93) — 

1) WAIANAE (WEEKEND WORK) 

Right lane closure on Farrington Highway (Route 93) in the westbound direction, in the vicinity of Maiuu Road and Ala Hema Street, on Saturday, Dec. 21 and Sunday, Dec. 22, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for tree trimming. 

 

2) WAIANAE  

Right lane closure on Farrington Highway (Route 93) in the westbound direction, in the vicinity of Maiuu Road and Ala Hema Street, on Monday, Dec. 23, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for tree trimming.  

 

— KAMEHAMEHA HIGHWAY/ JOSPEH P. LEONG HIGHWAY (ROUTES 83/99) — 

1) HALEIWA TO KAHALUU 

Roving right shoulder closure on Joseph P. Leong/ Kamehameha Highway (Route 83) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Haleiwa Beach Park and Waihee Road, on Monday, Dec. 23, Tuesday, Dec. 24, Thursday, Dec. 26 and Friday, Dec. 27, from 7 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. for tree trimming, pothole filling and sign maintenance. 

 

2) PEARL HARBOR 

Up to two lanes closed on Kamehameha Highway (Route 99) in both directions between Center Drive and Kohomua Street on Monday, Dec. 23 through Friday, Dec. 27, over a 24-hour period, for The Rail.

3) KALIHI (24/7 CLOSURE) 

Kamehameha Highway between Middle Street and Laumaka Street will be reduced to one westbound and one eastbound lane 24-hours a day, seven days a week, for The Rail. Other adjustments to the area include: 

No left turns from Kamehameha Highway will be allowed. 

Pedestrian access will be maintained. 

Driveway and business access will be maintained. 

The H-1 eastbound off-ramp to Dillingham Blvd. will be reduced to one lane. Middle Street southbound left turn reduced to single turn lane. 

The sidewalk on the makai side of Dillingham Boulevard between Puuhale Road and Mokauea Street will be closed 24/7 with pedestrians rerouted to the mauka sidewalk.

4) WAHIAWA TO WAIPAHU 

Right shoulder closure on Kamehameha Highway (Route 99) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Wilikina Drive and Waipahu Street, on Monday, Dec. 23, Tuesday, Dec. 24 and Thursday, Dec. 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for mechanical mowing. 

 

— NIMITZ HIGHWAY/ ALA MOANA BOULEVARD (ROUTE 92) —  

1) HONOLULU (WEEKEND/ NIGHT WORK) 

Lane closures on Nimitz Highway (Route 92) in both directions between Awa Street and Richards Street on Sunday, Dec. 22, through Friday, Dec. 27, over a 24-hour period, for The Rail work.

2) HONOLULU 

Lane closures on Nimitz Highway (Route 92) in the eastbound direction in the vicinity of Bethel Street, Nuuanu Avenue, Bishop Street, and Alakea Street, on Thursday, Dec. 26, and Friday, Dec. 27, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for The Rail work.

3) HONOLULU (NIGHT WORK) 

Single lane closure on Nimitz Highway (Route 92) in the eastbound direction, in the vicinity of Fort Street and Bishop Street, on Thursday, Dec. 26 and Friday, Dec. 27, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., for The Rail work. Northbound motorists exiting Fort Street or Bishop Street to Nimitz Highway will be detoured.

4) HONOLULU 

Left turn and U-turn restrictions on Nimitz Highway (Route 92) in the westbound direction at the intersections of Smith Street, Awa Street, River Street, and Bethel Street, on Thursday, Dec. 26, and Friday, Dec. 27, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., for The Rail work.

5) HONOLULU 

Two right lanes closed on Ala Moana Boulevard, in the eastbound direction, in the vicinity of Ward Avenue and Kamakee Street, on Monday, Dec. 23, through Friday, Dec. 27, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for formwork removal and streetlight work. 

  

— DILLINGHAM BOULEVARD — 

1) HONOLULU (WEEKEND/ NIGHT WORK) 

Lane closures on Dillingham Boulevard in both directions between Middle Street and Marukai Market/ GasPro driveway on Sunday, Dec. 22, through Friday, Dec. 27, over a 24-hour period, for The Rail work.

Roving right shoulder closure on Kualakai Parkway, possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Kapolei Parkway and the H-1 Freeway, on Monday, Dec. 23, Tuesday, Dec. 24 and Thursday, Dec. 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. for mechanical mowing, grass trimming and litter removal.  

 

— FORT WEAVER ROAD — 

1) EWA BEACH (24-HOUR CLOSURE) 

Center left lane closures on Fort Weaver Road in both directions, in the vicinity of Ewa Beach Road and Parish Drive, on Saturday, Dec. 21, through Friday, Dec. 27, over a 24-hour period, for permanent sewer line repairs to be completed. 

 

— KUNIA ROAD — 

1) WAHIAWA TO KUNIA 

Roving shoulder closure on Kunia Road, possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Wilikina Drive and the H-1 Freeway, on Friday, Dec. 27, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for litter removal. 

 

2) WAHIAWA 

Roving shoulder closure on Kunia Road, possible in either direction, in the vicinity of the Lyman Road Gate and Kunia Reservoir, on Monday, Dec. 23, Tuesday, Dec. 24, and Thursday, Dec. 26 through Friday, Dec. 27, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for grass and tree trimming and scraping work.  

 

3) KUNIA (WEEKEND WORK) 

Right lane closure on Kunia Road, possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Kupuna Loop and the H-1 Freeway, on Saturday, Dec. 21, from 4 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for ADA mat replacement.
