— H-1 FREEWAY — 

1) KAPOLEI  

Shoulder closure on the right-hand side of the eastbound H-1 Freeway, in the vicinity of Honouliuli Stream Bridge, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 15 through Friday, Dec. 19 for sign work along the hill adjacent to the freeway.  

 

2) WAIPAHU TO AIEA (WEEKEND/ NIGHT WORK) 

Two to three lanes closed on the right-hand side of the eastbound H-1 Freeway, in the vicinity of the Military Access Road underpass to the Waimalu off-ramp (Exit 10), for the Pearl City & Waimalu Viaduct Deck Repairs. Closure hours vary by day of the week and are: 

  • 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, through 6 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13 
  • 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13 through 8 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 14 

Note: The closure will start with three lanes closed at 7 p.m. and increase to four lanes from 8 p.m. through the duration of the closure. 

 

3) WAIPAHU TO AIEA (NIGHT WORK) 

Two to three lanes closed on the right-hand side of the eastbound H-1 Freeway, in the vicinity of the Naval Access Road underpass to the Waimalu off-ramp (Exit 10), from 7 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. on the evening of Thursday, Dec. 18 for the Pearl City & Waimalu Viaduct Deck Repairs. 

Note: The closure will start with two lanes closed at 7 p.m. and increase to three lanes from 8 p.m. through the duration of the closure. 

 

4) PEARL CITY 

Right shoulder closure on the Waipahu off-ramp (Exit 8B) from the westbound H-1 Freeway, from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 15, through Friday, Dec. 19, for slope improvements. 
 

5) PEARL CITY TO AIEA (NIGHT WORK) 

Four lanes closed on the left-hand side of the eastbound H-1 Freeway, in the vicinity of the Waiawa Road overpass and the Kaonohi Street overpass, from 7 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. on the evening of Tuesday, Dec. 16 through Wednesday, Dec. 17 for work as part of the Pearl City & Waimalu Viaduct Repairs. 

 

6) PEARL CITY TO AIEA (NIGHT WORK) 

Two to three lanes closed on the right-hand side of the eastbound H-1 Freeway, in the vicinity of the Hugh Street underpass and the Kaonohi Street overpass, from 7 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. on the evening of Monday, Dec. 15 for work as part of the Pearl City & Waimalu Viaduct Repairs. 

Note: The closure will start with two lanes closed from 7p.m. and increase to three lanes from 8 p.m. through the duration of the closure. 

 

7) PEARL HARBOR (NIGHT WORK) 

Roving closure of two lanes on the right-hand side of the eastbound H-1 Freeway, in the vicinity of the Kahuapaani Street underpass and Makalapa Drive, on the evening of Tuesday, Dec. 16 from 6:30 p.m. to 12 a.m. for roving core sampling work. 

 

8) AIRPORT VIADUCT (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK) 

Closure of three right lanes of the westbound H-1 Freeway/Airport Viaduct from the Nimitz on-ramp to the Airport off-ramp from 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, through 4 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, for the Airport Viaduct Repairs. The following ramps will be closed during this work:  

  • H-1 Middle Street on-ramp to the westbound H-1 Airport Viaduct  
  • Kamehameha Highway on-ramp to the westbound H-1 Airport Viaduct  

Motorists may use Nimitz Highway as a detour to the Airport. 

 

9) AIRPORT VIADUCT (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK) 

Full closure of the Airport off-ramp (Exit 16) and a single right lane on the westbound H-1 Freeway, from 6 p.m. to 4 a.m. nightly on the evening of Friday, Dec. 12 and Saturday, Dec. 13 for the Airport Viadcut Repairs.
Motorists may use Nimitz Highway as a detour to the Airport.  

 

10) AIRPORT VIADUCT TO KAHALA 

Roving right lane closure on the H-1 Freeway possible in either direction, between Puuloa Road and Ainakoa Avenue, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 15, through Thursday, Dec. 18, to address pothole, litter, and sign requests.  

 

11) HONOLULU (WEEKEND/ NIGHT WORK) 

Single lane closure on the left-hand side of the westbound H-1 Freeway, in the vicinity of the Middle Street overpass and Aala Street, from 3 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on the morning of Saturday, Dec. 13 for grass and tree trimming, and shoulder scraping work. (i.e. removal of moss.)  

 

12) HONOLULU (24-HOUR CLOSURE) 

Right shoulder closure on the H-1 Freeway, in the eastbound direction, in the vicinity of the Ola Lane overpass and Richard Lane, 24-hours a day, 7-days a week as part of the H-1 Freeway Widening. For more information, visit the project website: https://h1awidening.com/. 

 

13) HONOLULU (NIGHT WORK) 

Two right lanes closed on the eastbound H-1 Freeway in the vicinity of the Ola Lane overpass and the Likelike Highway off-ramp (Exit 20A) from 9 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. the following day on Monday, Dec. 15 through Friday, Dec. 19, for work as part of the H-1 Freeway widening. 14) HONOLULU (24-HOUR CLOSURE) 

Right shoulder closure on the H-1 Freeway, in the westbound direction, in the vicinity of the Likelike Highway on-ramp (Exit 20A) and the Gulick Avenue overpass, 24-hours a day, 7-days a week as part of the H-1 Freeway Widening. 15) HONOLULU (WEEKEND/ NIGHT WORK)  

Single lane closure on the right-hand side of the eastbound H-1 Freeway, in the vicinity of Halona Street and Liliha Street, from 3 a.m. to 7 a.m. on the morning of Saturday, Dec. 13 for electrical pole work along the freeway.  

 

16) HONOLULU (NIGHT WORK)  

Single lane closure on westbound H-1 Freeway, in the vicinity of Halona Street and the Pali Highway off-ramp, from 8:30 p.m. to 4 a.m. on the evening of Monday, Dec. 15 through Wednesday, Dec. 17 for guardrail repairs due to recent motor vehicle collision. Closure may be of the left or right lane; one lane closed at a time.  

  

17) KAIMUKI  

Right lane closure on the H-1 Freeway, possible in either direction, in the vicinity of the 10th Avenue underpass and the 11th Avenue on-ramp, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 15 and Tuesday, Dec. 16 for lighting repairs.  

 

— H-2 FREEWAY — 

1) WAIPAHU (24-HOUR CLOSURE) 

Right shoulder closure on the southbound H-2 Freeway, in the vicinity of the Ka Uka Boulevard on-ramp and the Waipio Self Storage, 24-hours a day, 7-days a week for construction of access road.  

 

— H-201 MOANALUA FREEWAY — 

1) HALAWA TO HONOLULU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK) 

Three right lanes closed on the westbound H-201 Moanalua Freeway in the vicinity of the Halawa Interchange and Richard Lane, nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day on Sunday, Dec. 14, through Friday, Dec. 19, for repaving. Full closures of the Halawa/H-3 Freeway off-ramps (Exit 1D/1E) from the westbound H-201 Moanalua Freeway, from 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 14 through Friday, Dec. 19 for repaving work along the ramps. 3) FORT SHAFTER (NIGHT WORK) 

Full closure on the H-201 Moanalua Freeway off-ramp to the H-1 Freeway, in the eastbound direction, in the vicinity of the Honolulu/ King Steet off-ramp, from 9 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 15 through Friday, Dec. 19 as part of the H-1 Freeway Widening. — H-3 FREEWAY — 

1) KANEOHE (WEEKEND/ NIGHT WORK) 

Single lane closure on the right-hand side of the Kaneohe-bound H-3 Freeway, between the Kaneohe-end of the Harano Tunnels and the Hospital Rock Tunnels, from 2 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on the morning of Saturday, Dec. 13 for repairs to steel plate welds.   

 

2) KANEOHE 

Single lane closure on the right-hand side of the Kaneohe-bound H-3 Freeway, through the Harano Tunnels, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 16 for tunnel camera maintenance.  

 

3) KANEOHE 

Single lane closure on the right-hand side of the Honolulu-bound H-3 Freeway, through the Harano Tunnels, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 18 for tunnel camera maintenance. 

 

— PALI HIGHWAY/ KALANIANAOLE HIGHWAY/ KAILUA ROAD (ROUTE 61) — 

1) NUUANU  

Roving single lane closure of the right-hand side of Honolulu-bound Pali Highway (Route 61) in the vicinity of School Street and Waokanaka Street, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 15 through Friday, Dec. 19 for grass and tree trimming, and litter removal.   

 

2) NUUANU (NIGHT WORK) 

Single lane closure on the left-hand side of Honolulu-bound Pali Highway (Route 61) in the vicinity of Moanawai Place and Laimi Road, from 8:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. on Monday, Dec.15 and Tuesday, Dec. 16 for installation of Noise Camera. 

 

3) KAILUA 

Left lane closure on Kalanianaole Highway/Kailua Road (Route 61), possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Ulumanu Drive and Uluhala Street, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 15 through Friday, Dec. 19 for traffic signals project. Potential closures of a single lane in both directions (for a total of two lanes) may be necessary.  

 

— LIKELIKE HIGHWAY/ KALIHI STREET (ROUTE 63) — 

1) KALIHI  

Right lane closure on Kalihi Street (Route 63) possible in either direction between Eluwene Street and Coburn Street, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 15 through Friday, Dec. 19 for HART civil work approaching the Dillingham Boulevard intersection. One lane to remain open at all times.

Single lane closure on the left-hand side of Kaneohe-bound Likelike Highway (Route 63) in the vicinity of Makuahine Street, from 8:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. on Monday, Dec.15 through Thursday, Dec. 18 for installation of Noise Camera.  

 

— KANEOHE BAY DRIVE (ROUTE 65) —  

1) KANEOHE  

Right shoulder closure on eastbound Kaneohe Bay Drive (Route 65), in the vicinity of Aumoku Street and Nohonani Place, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 15 through Friday, Dec. 19 for erosion control work.

3) KOKO HEAD  

Alternating single lane closure on the right-hand side of eastbound Kalanianaole Highway (Route 72) in the vicinity of Nawiliwili Street and Lunalilo Home Road, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 17 and Thursday, Dec. 18 for HECO work. 

 

4) HAWAII KAI (WEEKEND WORK)

Roving right shoulder closure on Joseph P. Leong/Kamehameha Highway (Route 83), possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Emerson Road and Kahekili Highway, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 15 through Friday, Dec. 19 for tree trimming, pothole filling and sign maintenance. 

 

4) KAHUKU 

Alternating single lane closure on Kamehameha Highway (Route 83) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Kahuku District Park and Kahuku High and Intermediate School, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 15 through Friday, Dec. 19 for construction of drainage culvert and headwalls. 

 

5) LAIE 

Alternating single lane closure on Kamehameha Highway (Route 83) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Hale Laa Boulevard and Anemoku Street, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 15 through Friday, Dec. 19 for stream bridge replacement. Single lane closure on the right-hand side of Kaneohe-bound Kamehameha Highway (Route 83) in the vicinity of Mokulele Drive and Mahinui Road, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec.15 through Friday, Dec. 19 for installation of Noise Camera.

Single lane closure on the left-hand side of Kamehameha Highway (Route 83) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Hawaii Pacific University’s Kaneohe campus and Castle Junction, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 15 for grass trimming and litter removal.

Right lane closure on Nimitz Highway (Route 92) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Valkenburgh Street and Puuloa Road, from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 15 through Thursday, Dec. 18 for patching of spalled concrete columns.  

 

2) AIRPORT INDUSTRIAL   

Right lane closure on Nimitz Highway (Route 92) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Valkenburgh Street and Kakoi Street, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 15 through Friday, Dec. 19 for pavement marking work.   

 

3) AIRPORT INDUSTRIAL (WEEKEND/ NIGHT WORK) 

Two lanes closed on Nimitz Highway (Route 92) possible in either direction, along the Paiea Street intersection, from 9:30 p.m. to 4 a.m. on the evening of Friday, Dec. 12 for striping of the intersection. Closure may be of the left or right lanes; one direction to be closed at a time.  

 

4) HONOLULU (WEEKEND/ NIGHT WORK) 

Three lanes closed on the right-hand side of westbound Nimitz Highway (Route 92) in the vicinity of Kalihi Stream Bridge, from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. on the evenings of Friday, Dec. 12 and Saturday, Dec. 13 for repaving work along the bridge. Full closure and detour of eastbound Nimitz Highway (Route 92) at the Keehi Interchange, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. on the evening of Tuesday, Dec. 16 for repaving work along Kalihi Stream Bridge. Motorists will be detoured via the Dillingham Boulevard off-ramp.  

 

7) HONOLULU (WEEKEND WORK)  

Full closure of Nimitz Highway/Ala Moana Boulevard (Route 92) in both directions, between Smith Street and Atkinson Drive, from 12:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 14 for the Honolulu Marathon. 8) HONOLULU (NIGHT WORK)  

Full closure of eastbound Nimitz Highway/Ala Moana Boulevard (Route 92) between Bishop Street and Kalakaua Avenue, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 17 for the Chanukah Car Menorah Caravan parade. 9) HONOLULU (24/7 CLOSURE) 

Closures on Nimitz Highway (Route 92) between Awa Street and Richards Street on Sunday, Dec. 14, through Friday, Dec. 19, over a 24-hour period, for HART work includes: 

  • Awa Street closed 24/7 from Nimitz Highway, in either direction through November 2025. 
  • Nimitz Highway eastbound and westbound between Awa Street and Richards Street will have a single lane closed from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday, Dec. 15 through Friday, Dec. 19, in addition to the 24-hour lane closures. 
  • Turn restrictions from westbound Nimitz Highway onto Alakea Street, Bishop Street, and Nuuanu Street daily, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. 
  • Up to two lanes closed between Awa Street and Richards Street for striping, Monday, Dec. 15 through Friday, Dec. 19, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Single lane closure on the right-hand side of eastbound Ala Moana Boulevard (Route 92) in the vicinity of Piikoi Street, from 8:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m., on Monday, Dec. 15 through Thursday, Dec. 18 for installation of Noise Camera.  

 

11) WAIKIKI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK) 

Single lane closure and lane shift on Ala Moana Boulevard (Route 92), possible in either direction in the vicinity of Hobron Lane and Pau Street, from 9 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. on the evening of Friday, Dec. 12 for installation of new fiber optics cable.  

 

12) WAIKIKI (NIGHT WORK) 

Right and center lanes closed on westbound Ala Moana Boulevard (Route 92), in the vicinity of Hobron Lane and Ena Road, from 8:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 15 through Wednesday, Dec. 17 for HECO repair and replacement of underground cable.

Roving right shoulder closure on Farrington Highway (Route 93) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Makua Valley Road and Laaloa Street, from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 15 through Thursday, Dec. 18 for various maintenance activities to address complaints.  

 

2) WAIANAE 

Single lane closure on the right-hand side of westbound Farrington Highway (Route 93), in the vicinity of Waianae High School, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 15 through Friday, Dec. 19 for HECO work. 

 

3) NANAKULI (NIGHT WORK) 

Single lane closure on the right-hand side of westbound Farrington Highway (Route 93) in the vicinity of Lualualei Naval Road and the McDonald’s Nanakuli parking lot, from 8 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 15 through Thursday, Dec. 18 for HECO work.

Roving right lane closure on Kamehameha Highway (Route 99) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Weed Circle and Nui Avenue, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 15 through Thursday, Dec. 18 for mechanical mowing.  

 

3) PEARL HARBOR  

Single lane closure on Kamehameha Highway (Route 99) possible in either direction between Kohomua Street and Center Drive, on Monday, Dec. 15, through Friday, Dec. 19 for HART civil work. Closure times vary by direction and are scheduled as follows:  

  • Eastbound closures: 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.  
  • Westbound closures: 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The following closures are 24-hours a day, seven days a week, for The Rail. 

  • H-1 eastbound off-ramp to Dillingham Blvd. reduced to one lane.  
  • Middle Street southbound left turn reduced to single turn lane. 
  • Dillingham Boulevard eastbound between Middle Street and Marukai will have a single lane closed. 
  • Dillingham Boulevard westbound between GasPro and Middle Street will have a single lane closed.

Detour and contraflow on eastbound Farrington Highway (Route 7101) in the vicinity of Old Fort Weaver Road, on Saturday, Dec. 13, through Friday, Dec. 19, over a 24-hour period, as part of the Farrington Highway Widening project.
