Oahu Lane Closures

For the week of: Dec. 27 – Jan. 2

 

PLEASE NOTE:  

The Holiday Lane Closure Restriction runs from Tuesday, Dec. 30, through Sunday, Jan. 4. Only closures with demonstrated need (e.g., necessary for safety or to avoid lengthy construction delays) have been approved and are on this list. There will be no lane closures, Zipper Lane, or contraflow operations on Thursday, Jan. 1 in observance of New Year’s Day.

— H-1 FREEWAY — 

1) PEARL CITY 

Right shoulder closure on the Waipahu off-ramp (Exit 8B) from the westbound H-1 Freeway, from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 29, through Wednesday, Dec. 31, for slope improvements.   

 

2) HONOLULU (24-HOUR CLOSURE) 

Right shoulder closure on the H-1 Freeway, in the eastbound direction, in the vicinity of the Ola Lane overpass and Richard Lane, 24-hours a day, 7-days a week as part of the H-1 Freeway Widening. For more information, visit the project website: https://h1awidening.com/. 

 

3) HONOLULU (24-HOUR CLOSURE) 

Right shoulder closure on the H-1 Freeway, in the westbound direction, in the vicinity of the Likelike Highway on-ramp (Exit 20A) and the Gulick Avenue overpass, 24-hours a day, 7-days a week as part of the H-1 Freeway Widening. — H-2 FREEWAY — 

1) WAIPAHU (24-HOUR CLOSURE) 

Right shoulder closure on the southbound H-2 Freeway, in the vicinity of the Ka Uka Boulevard on-ramp and the Waipio Self Storage, 24-hours a day, 7-days a week for construction of access road.  

 

— H-3 FREEWAY — 

1) KANEOHE (WEEKEND/ NIGHT WORK) 

Single lane closure on the right-hand side of the Kaneohe-bound H-3 Freeway, between the Halawa-end of the Harano Tunnels and the Hospital Rock Tunnels, from 2 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on the morning of Saturday, Dec. 27 for repairs to steel plate welds.   

 

— KANEOHE BAY DRIVE (ROUTE 65) —  

1) KANEOHE  

Right shoulder closure on eastbound Kaneohe Bay Drive (Route 65), in the vicinity of Aumoku Street and Nohonani Place, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 29 through Wednesday, Dec. 31 for erosion control work.    

 

— FARRINGTON HIGHWAY (ROUTE 7101) — 

1) EWA BEACH/WAIPAHU (24-HOUR CLOSURE) 

Detour and contraflow on eastbound Farrington Highway (Route 7101) in the vicinity of Old Fort Weaver Road, on Saturday, Dec. 27, through Friday, Jan. 2, over a 24-hour period, as part of the Farrington Highway Widening project. — GULICK AVENUE — 

1) HONOLULU 

Alternating single lane closure on Gulick Avenue, possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Pahukui Street and Beckley Street, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 29 through Wednesday, Dec. 31 and Friday, Jan. 2 as part of the H-1 Freeway Widening. Full closure of intersection at Gulick Avenue and Beckley Street, 24-hours a day, seven days a week, beginning Saturday, Dec. 27 through Friday, Jan. 2, as part of the H-1 Freeway Widening. Alternating single lane closure on Richard Lane, possible in either direction, in the vicinity of the H-1 Freeway, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 29 through Wednesday, Dec. 31 and Friday, Jan. 2, as part of the H-1 Freeway Widening.
