Statewide Federal-Aid Highways 2035 Transportation Plan
The Statewide Federal-Aid Highways 2035 Transportation Plan was completed by the Hawaii State Department of Transportation (HDOT) in July 2014. This is the first time that a plan of this type has been prepared statewide. It provides a basis for making informed land transportation decisions through the year 2035.
In conjunction with the development of the statewide Plan, HDOT updated the Regional Long-Range Land Transportation Plans for the Districts of Maui, Hawaii, and Kauai using a future horizon year of 2035. The current regional long-range plans, titled Federal-Aid Highways 2035 Transportation Plans for the Districts of Maui, Hawaii, and Kauai, were last updated in the late 1990’s. To ensure a current and comprehensive statewide Plan, the regional Plans were concurrently updated.
